I have 3 dogs, a corgi-mix (we call her Chicken Mimi) b/c she's afraid of everything and 2 obnoxious min-pins. I purchased the device mainly for the 2 little Tasmanian devils as we seem to be having some sort of celebratory barkfest everyday now. So, here is my experience from taking it out of the box to putting the battery in, to testing, and setting it.1. Add battery and fidget with the Start button to figure out how to test it. The moment the sound comes on for the TEST, my corgi-mix sprinted to the back room where she refused to come out as she shook. The 2 min-pins barked here and there but did not seem to care.2. Ok, test worked so now put it on Level 1. Corgi still out of sight, the twins are yipping as I try to put their harnesses on to go for a walk. Still not working for them.3. Got home from walk and was trying to talk to the now deathly terrified corgi and every time I spoke, I saw the green light flash. Uhm....yeah, the green light indicates that the device has picked up the sounds of a "bark"....So, yes it works as somewhat of a deterrent but not for overly sensitive furbabies. And....it also reacts to people talking in the same room so design and functionality is definitely flawed.It is back to the drawing board for me to figure out how to get a little more control over the never-ending choir around here. I was so excited to see if this would quiet my neighbors dog's. Maybe it did? Maybe it was mostly a placebo effect for me, thinking that it might have.The device makes a noise. I can kind of hear it. I can see how it can be annoying to dog's, and thusly effective. All that said, the device is very sensitive and not.. that smart. Wind triggers this to go off. Any loud noise triggers it to go off. It cannot differentiate a bark from the snapping of fingers. It drained a new 9V battery in two days. I may try again during a less windy season - I might just see about buying one where the noise input is a bit more protected and therefore not as sensitive.(Also, why are the remaining reviews are of dog brushes? Lol)

Stopped working

This is more of a dampening product. Fresh batteries create a bark deterrent but I’m having to change batteries every 3 days and it’s barely making a difference with the barking. After 2 weeks I put it in the trash.

The 9v battery only lasts for 3 days. Batteries are expensive and if I have to replace a battery every 3 days it's a waste of money to buy this unit.

It seemed to work at first but then had little effect on my dog. Also, it kept beeping even when the barking stopped.

Can't say if it works or not. But no matter how many new 9 volt batteries I put in it'll flash green a couple times then go to red flash low battery. I won't expect it to actually calm Fido down if it can't even show a dozen new batteries are fully charged.

Seemed to work first day but as others stated batteries run out every few days. After a month stopped working altogether.
