I bought this to clean the 6-CD changer in my wife's 2005 PT Cruiser Convertible. It was skipping some.Just insert CD cleaner into the CD player and follow the directions which basically are to do nothing. The CD plays the instructions for you. Takes about 5 minutesThe cleaner is a CD with 2 little brushes that clean the CD player head. The kit comes with liquid cleaner, but it is for cleaning CDs, NOT the CD player. So, don't put any liquid on the little brushes.It worked. Not more skipping. I would buy it again.

It didn’t fix my skipping problems, however I think they are because the laser transport guides are dry or dragging. This device specifically brushes the optical components wiping dust and débris off the lens, etc. I think the disk is doing its job. All the components in the kit look good. I’m going to give it four stars as there is no way to say it “works” on all problems. I should also mention I am working with a 200 disc changer and you can’t access the mechanism easily. I’m of the belief that this would work on cleaning the optics on most systems and is a good buy. Good general maintenance. Cozmic Charly gives it a solid four stars with a Total Grooviness inclusion. Mt DVD player was skipping and stopping.I ran it for two cycles. The DVD player is playing as it should.The instructions could be better.
