Need a floor squeegee for larger, step-in shower floor. Will this work? Do the pads or blades have to be replaced over time? Thanks.

This floor squeegee works great on shower floor and walls. The swivel blade allows for angling into awkward spaces. Handle is a little longer than I need but it is wood and can easily be cut to better size. The blade is rubber but unless you are using it on a very rough surface, should last a long time.

What is the miimum handle length? (Can I use only 3 of the 4 handle parts to make it shorter?)

I really like this squeegee. Mine is older and has a 2 piece handle so I am not sure of the answer. However, if I wanted mine shorter I would cut the metal two piece handle to the length I wanted and that would be it. I also think that if you were to take just the squeegee part of it to a Home Depot and look in the plumbing department for a cheap plunger handle I suspect that that handle would also fit the squeegee. Just a thought...Good Luck

Is this squeegee all rubber or silicon? Is there any metal around the blade or sides of the silicon blade?

I believe the blade is 100% silicon and that there is no metal of any kind around the blade, just plastic. It is a really nice squeegee.

Will this work on dry floors?

I would not see why not. I guess it depends more on what exactly you are trying to clean up with it. Why would you want to use a squeegee for on a dry floor when they are made to clean up liquids like water. On a dry floor I would use a broom or a dust mop.
