Strong and Durable
I like Fireline for an unconventional use. I use it for beading. It's strong, durable, and has good yardage for the money. It comes in white or smoke which goes well with lots of bead colors. The only thing I don't like about the smoke is that the color comes off on your hands as you're working with it. I use a cloth to wipe it off and that helps. Other than that I love Fireline and will continue to use it.

Fireline
I love this line. I generally buy 8-10 pounds and it is strong enough for any fishing I am doing. I generally bass fish in 20 ft of water. For night fishing I use the line that shows on black light. For day fishing I use the crystal line. I caught a 5 lb smallmouth on Dale Hollow with the 8 pound line. Last year using another line we broke off on several fish. This year I took my own gear and used the Crystal 8 lb line, and had no fear of the line breaking and that confidence was wonderful. This line casts extemelly well. Just remeber this is one strong line. Some buy 20 pound line or higher and that is a huge mistake as the line does not cast as well and is way too powerful for normal bass fishing. With 8-10 pound line when you get hung you are pretty much hung as the line is so strong. I will forever use this line and not waste time trying any other line.

Not just for fishing -- this is great for beaders, too!
I've been using Fireline in my beading projects for about eight years, and it works great for when you're using Swarovski crystals or beads that have sharp edges. The 6-pound count is nice for beads that are heavier and projects that have more weight to them. You just need to be really careful not to knot your projects; quite a few beading instructors have been warning that knots will break with this, and I've seen it happen when they demonstrate it. The smoke color will leave a grey residue on your fingers, but I rub it through a piece of Kleenex to take it off before I wax my thread, and have no problems. I was so happy to find this on Amazon since it's much cheaper to buy it here than from a beading store or beading website!

Jewelry making
I love Fireline. I use it in the smoke, and the crystal (which is white) and I use Fireline in 4lb, 6lb and 8lb, all of which work well in the jewelry I make. I think that Fireline is the best "thread", for any project I design. The price I have found on Amazon has been very good, and I have also found 300 yard spools, which is what I buy the 6lb Fireline in, which is the size I use the most. I have bought Fireline on Amazon several times and always feel I am getting an extremely good price. This is where you I want to buy my Fireline for sure, absolutely not from the beading sights (sorry), where it is extremely expensive.

Don't Lose a Fish or a Lure
Love the durability & strength of FireLine. I don't replace line on my reel as often as I should but am able to push the limit with FireLine. If you get caught on something under water when jigging, you can put on a glove, wrap the line around your hand & pull loose. You may bend a hook, but your line won't break! You can tie a clear leader on if water conditions dictate (or if it makes you feel better), or not, & still catch fish. I always use the Smoke color (looks black). I fish lakes in Colorado.

Very durable and strong for beading.
This is my favorite beading thread. I will buy it again.

Value , cast ability , durability and very sensitive to the rod tip.
This is great for freshwater. Smoke color not seen. Zero stretch with great casting ability. You can feel every little touch or tap through your rod tip. No stretch so hook set soooo easy. Been using it for years. By using a backing you can load two spoils. Highly recommended !

Great product but confusing measurements
I have used Fireline for beading for years. Lately, it's become confusing deciding which one to buy. The Fireline I get from the beading sites is marked 6lb/Size D and the diameter measurement is listed as .008”. It's also expensive. The Fireline I get as fishing line is marked as 6lb/2lb test dia. and the diameter measurement is listed as .15mm. If I convert the .008” to millimeters, I get .20mm. To get the 20mm, I have to buy the fishing line marked 10lb/4lb test diameter. It’s very confusing since the diameter of the thread is important in beading. If you’re working on a project where you will make multiple passes through the same bead, you need a thinner thread but you must also keep in mind that if you are building a structural piece, you want the thread thick enough to keep the shape. Add to that the fact that not all instructions say much more than 6lb test and you get the idea of what a beader faces at the start of each project. It would be wonderful if all the measurements would be given in either mm or inches and if there weren’t so many variables in deciding which line to buy. I would have given this product the 5 stars it deserves if it weren't for the confusion with the diameter measurements. I use the Smoke and the Crystal and don't care that the dark color bleeds on my fingers. I run it through Kleenex before I start. It is a much better buy on Amazon and that's a deciding factor when I need to replenish my stash.
