I first purchased a Sendt brand lock because it came in white and I wanted that color. The Sendt did not work on this Acer ConceptD 2-in-1 unfortunately. However, this Kensington one did and was drama free. The code was easy to set and it just fit and worked. I highly recommend Kensington for Acer brand laptops. Many other brands were listed too as compatible. Too bad the lock size is not standard across all brands.

bought this for work. used it on a lenovo laptop. setup was easy. not a very thick cable but good enough to stop people from walking off with said laptop

I ordered the Kensington Combination Cable Lock K64673AM for the 13" Mac Book Pro 2011. I read the reviews from buyers who unfortunately could not use the lock for their laptop. Mac users should know this does fit a Mac Book Pro. The slot is on the right hand side. I am satisfied with the quality and durability of the cable and lock. Other reviewers noted the lack of clear directions on setting the lock. I agree: Play with the combinations before committing to setting it. My one complaint: The button has to be pushed in to open and insert the pin into the laptop. The combination side is 90 degrees to that side. When the pin is correctly inserted, the combination side is not vertical, it's facing you. So you have to lift the laptop to use your combination. Or else memorize the numbers from the top.

I absolutely hated fiddling with the key on my old lock. Around and around it would spin as I try to line up that little circular key each with what?... hard to tell. Then once I'm lucky enough to engage we start the dance again trying to actuate the little pins. Then at day's end I enjoy the round and around again. Please lock, just unlatch it from the computer! Ten years of my life lost to that spiteful little thing. So glad to have this new combination lock. Just select the numbers and push the latch button while the yellow marker is pointing up. If you install your keylock on the the right hand side, I assume you just line up on the black indicator. One less thing to dread each day. I think I should re-examine more such PITA items in my life. Might live a little longer, a little better :)

purchased to protect my work laptop. its a Dell laptop. for my laptop it works great and does exactly what its supposed to do which is basic physical protection. very easy to use. easily reset the combination. not only that but also it doesn't look bulky and huge, its very small and slick yet strong. very happy with this purchase. will get another one for my other laptop but be ware that most MacBooks (specially new models) doesn't have Kensington slot. make sure your laptop has that Kensington slot.

REad several reviews on this lock before purchasing 2 of them. They work PERFECT and as expected. Yes, you could easily cut them off ( as with any of the laptop locks ) but the idea is to slow the bad guys down and stop the NOT SO BAD ones. Small, light, easy to use. Perfect addition for both my wife and I ( both on MacBook Pro's ). Will recommend to anyone asking for a good lock. I always recommend that anyone with a laptop have some sort of lock and this is PERFECT.

This product was purchased to secure a Playstation 5 in a college dorm room. The device attached securely and seemed fine. However, when the device needed to be removed it would not unlock. The combination was correct but no matter what was done the button would not press in to unlock the device. Due to the need to make a long drive a pair of bolt cutters was purchased to cut the cable and the lock was removed by using a pair of vice grips to push the button in with great pressure. There was slight damage to the security port on the Playstation 5 due to the lock not fully releasing. Kensington support was contacted later and they denied a refund as I damaged the product. Well, I had no choice but to damage the lock to remove it. Definitely not purchasing a replacement or any other products from Kensington.

Product is as advertised and now I can rest easier knowing that my laptop is more secure.
