This is a one piece package of K&S Precision Metals 8244 Brass Strip, 0.032" Thick x 2" Wide x 12" Long. This thin brass strip is individually wrapped for protection. K&S offers many types of metal pieces in various sizes, lengths and forms. All K&S metals are perfect for craft making, model building, DIY and more. I purchased this particular brass strip because I had a need for a custom shim. I had purchased a cycle attachment for my exercise equipment. It was when I was assembling this cycle attachment that I noticed that the way the legs bolt in to the housing of the cycle piece, it would be very wobbly while in use. To fix this, I made a shim to fit between the leg and the frame up inside of the housing. Fortunately, I was able to determine the exact thickness of sheet metal I needed — I used a dial Caliper to measure this area with. Remarkably after figuring out my dimensions, I was able to find almost the exact thickness needed in a piece of K&S brass strip. With a little patience and a little bit of hard work, I was able to cut this shim out — and a few extras. By hand, I was able to make the shim to the desired size and shape. My shim pieces turned out perfectly. K&S Precision Metals will make any small project that much easier!

Perfect for what I needed. Item came early in great shape, exactly as described.

The measurements match the advertised specifications, so, that's good. I Resore antique clocks and I'm confident that I will be able to use this material to fabricate the parts I intended to use it for. Just note that it is raw brass sheet and that it will react to even slightly acidic materials (like skin oils) until protected with laquer coating. My brass sheet came with no less than a dozen dark fingerfrints etched into it (even on the areas with protective packaging) which required a lot of additional (careful) cleaning just to end up with slightly less noticeable fingerprints all over the sheet. I'm sure that Brasso or 0000 fine steel wool will eventually take out the fingerprint marks. I just can't have scratched up brass parts for my purposes. Guess I didn't count on having to spend this much time buffing out someone else's etched in, greasy pepperoni finger funk from my purchase. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Always have liked K&S materials.

All the K&S metal products are excellent and have been around for a long time. It’s been harder to find in local stores so I have been ordering from Amazon when the need arises. The problem is they ship them in soft envelope s so perhaps more than fifty percent of the time they arrive bent. I have had to return and reorder more times than I like to try and get a piece of K&S metal that is not bent. This has nothing to do with the quality of the K&S metal but Amazons illogical method of shipping these items.

I use this as an accent and protective piece for my garage door. My door knob plunger hits my wood trim as my wall thickness is 10 inches and my door jamb is on 5.5 inches.

Product is as advertised and worked perfectly for the intended application.

Very good quality

This was perfect for my needs. I used it to make a shim for a car battery terminal where the clamp was just slightly too large to tighten securely. This brass is thin enough to bend by hand and was easy to cut with pliers. A couple of minutes with a small file and job jone. As I only used 2 inches of this strip the rest is now in my tool box ready for the next odd job.

The brass strip arrived well protected and straight. No finger marks at all-as mentioned in a previous review. The image of the label on the listing states: one strip enclosed, indeed one strip was delivered. The thickness was specified as 0.025" and it is exactly that. Will I order again- definitely.

Shipped in paper wrap $ shrink wrapped onto cardboard. Somewhere en route this got banged up/bent (same with another wider one too) so I returned them and ordered thicker 0.064 strips. I’m using them as bindery gauges so in my case they have to hold their shape. Otherwise they are quality made , just carelessly handled. I ordered from the same manufacturer, different vendors; the thicker ones are more $$ but necessity being …
