Not a replacement for halogen pendants
Bottom line: these don't have the spot focus of a halogen bulb, As a result, they are not a good option for bathroom pendants. They are well made and novel in design, but if you are looking for bright, focused light, go halogen.

Not quite as bright as the halogen 50w it replaced
I bought this to replace the 50w halogen bulb in my desk lamp. It's not quite as bright, but it is still a good replacement and generates MUCH less heat. The base is a bit larger (not the pins, but the base where the pins come out). So the fit isn't perfect. My lamp has a switch for hi/low, but the difference with this bulb is barely noticeable. My biggest complaint is that there are five bulbs in this pack. Considering the LED bulbs' longevity, in fifty years they can probably give away the extra four bulbs as party favors at my funeral.

They work - a little off on a few specifications
PROS+These bulbs popped right in my existing pendant lights that had GY6.35 12V halogens.NOT so POSITIVES+ Brightness: These 5W's turned out to be slightly less bright than the previous ones, and I see some listings that say 5W's is equivalent to 35W halogen bulbs, while this listing states it is equivalent to 50W. The product spec says 500lumen - maybe it does this, but i think it's less and more like a 35W halogen.+ Color: The light color seems to better match my other LED bulbs that are in the 3000k range; so slightly white than the advertised 2700k.+ Labeling/Marketings: They come in cardboard boxes with options on the side for a range of Wattages, Colors, and voltages; however, the boxes are unmarked and the bulbs are unmarked -- so I have no idea how they are able to verify they are shipping you the correct bulb specification you order (or how you can keep track of this after you own them -- certainly don't toss them a drawer with the same size bulb of a different color/wattage!).+ NOT really DIMMABLE: these bulbs had some dimmable utility to them in my application. I could turn them down a 1/3 without any flicker. They do flicker when you turn them down more than this - i'd say this is NOT dimmable; certainly not as you'd expect or near any halogen replacement.

Not 50W equivalent, greenish tint
Got the 5W version. I installed 3 of the 5 and all 3 worked. So far so good for a few days.Supposed to be 50W equivalent. Baloney. I knew it wasn't when I ordered it from the lumens posted (500) as a 35W halogen one is about 600 lumens (you can look up some here on Amazon to check). And sure enough, they are a little less bright than the 35W ones I replaced. So I expected that but I'm dinging the score anyway for a really big exaggeration. Most lighting products I've seen contains these lies/exaggeration to some extent so always check the lumens and don't believe the claimed equivalency. The disappointing part is the color. It's got a slight greenish tint. Noticeable right next to a halogen bulb, less so by themselves. We decided we could live with it and will keep them but dinged the score a bit for that too. I wouldn't order again though.

Dimmer than claimed, same as a 20 W bulb, long body prevents use in many light fixtures
I had really wanted this lamp to work out, but unfortunately the manufacturer has made false claims as far as the light output goes.I did a test in which I measured the light output from a 50 watt tungsten bulb (the one this LED was supposed to replace). The distance was fixed, the light meter was secured in place and the light reflector imobilized. The result was the this LED bulb puts put 1.3 stops less light than the 50 w tungsten. That effectively means that the light output is very much the same as a 20 W tungsten. That may be fine in some situations but it wasn't in mine. It seems that in order to reach the 50 W light output equivalent, the manufacturer will need to add considerably more LED's segments which is problematic in terms of space. Also the bulb is about 1.8 times the length of a standard bulb and it may not fit in many reflectors, especially the ones that are meant to be sealed with the UV glass. The color temperature is on the colder side. The standard tungsten bulb gave me a reading of 3000 K and the LED 3500K. not a huge difference but noticeably cooler and on the blue-green side.

Great light but……
Bright, no flicker but several of the LED’s remain on very dim all the time after being switched off. I am using Lutron led+ dimmer switches. I have swapped out the “bulbs” a few times, and all act the same “some LED’s remain on”.

A Very Nice LED Replacement... So Far
I needed these for a set of pendant lights above a bar. These pendants used to have a set of bi-pin halogen bulbs that were constantly burning out or just flickering.I decided to replace them with a set of these little beauties.First of all I LOVE that these "bulbs" are not your typical "bulb". These seem to be coated in silicon. No need for tempered "bulb guards" any more... and the light they produce is perfect... and so far they are working perfectly... so far.It has been my experience that even though LED are marketed as "very long lived" they rarely live up to the marketing. They do last a lot longer than other types.... but not as long as they say.I will try to update this review if anything changes.

Looks reasonably well made
I purchased this to replace a 60w halogen. The LEDs are not as bright as the 60w halogen, but they are reasonably close. Color is, as specified, "warm white." No way to judge longevity; check back in 5 years :)
