His strength, his masculinity brought out something primal within her. In his arms, she felt like the desertcart warrior sheโd once pretended to be as a little girl. Anson is a fierce Dragon King, a dragon shapeshifter born and bred to protect his own. But when a rogue tech company hacks into their world, he must join forces with the unlikeliest of allies: a human female. Her name is Devon Abrams. A rising star at the firm, she has no idea that her boss is in league with the sinister Fae and their secret war against humanity. If Anson gains her trust, he can defeat the enemy from within. But first he must fight his own attractionโto this exquisitely beautiful mortalโฆ Devon loves her job at the firm. But sometimes she wishes she could find a manโa real manโwho isnโt threatened by her success. When she first meets Anson, sheโs overwhelmed by his powerful masculine presence and disarmingly gorgeous smile. But when he reveals his true missionโand his ability to transform into a dragonโsheโs irresistibly drawn into an epic battle between humans and immortals, magic and technology, danger and desire. Anson vows to protect her from the Fae. But can he control the flames of passion that blaze within his heart, in Blaze , the next sexy Dragon romance in the Dark Kings series from New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant. Review: Dragons, Fae, Tech companies, oh my! - For those of us who choose to focus on building our careers when our private lives leave much to be desired, nothing can be as unsettling then to realize that the company we believe in is something nefarious. Devon is at the top of her game and climbing the work ladder rapidly, when she is pulled into a dangerous plot involving the very company she has spent years building in the public eye. Even more mysterious is the mountain of a man, sexier than her darkest fantasy, with his thick baroque accent and rugby player good looks. They will have to brave their own defiant hearts as well as unknown enemies to figure out how to save each other and whether they can trust each other, let alone their own hearts. Devon wants nothing more than to meet a "man's man," tired of the coiffed, well groomed men of the executive world, she longs to feel strong hands and a stronger personality that can light up her soul as well as her mind. Anson, holds the strongest magic known to this world, had promised himself to another just before the world turned upside down and that was when man first came to this world. His betrothed is in another realm, long lost to him, but he must move forward and protect humans it's been his undying vow. The intrigue, passion, and fated collisions will draw you deeply into the world of the Dragon Kings. These can be read alone, but I suggest tearing into all of Donna Grants series, beginning with the Midnights Master, the Dark Warriors, and working your way up to the Dark Kings, you will not be disappointed. Review: Love it! - Love Donna so so much. More please. Anson was basically on Ulriks side but trusted in his King. Devon was slightly dragged into this drama because she worked for the same company as Kinsey an should be able to access info from the inside of said company. But I think knowing Anson was part of this dilemma that was presented to her maybe not so much dragging... They are, as always, a cute couple who just go with the "This feels right" flow an don't fight it for petty reasons. So much all over the board action an I'm truly thankful I've started this series from the beginning but also backtracked into the Warriors cuz man, you could get lost trying to keep up. The Best weaved story line. You're my Hero Donna. ( and maybe Anson too.)

Yes to Blaze
Grant keeps you on the edge of your seat in Blaze. Talk about a book full of magic and angst. So many plots and twists that leave us with more questions. Is Urlik starting to have a change of heart ? Who is Rhi's DK? Is Balladyn changing? DK get some justice in Blaze but their is still so many variables on how this story will go Rhi learns more of who was behind her break up with her DK. I am still hoping Con is Rhi's because I love them both but sometimes I think it's not him. Well I guess we will see the truth in Con's book when it releases. This is the second time I have read Blaze because at this point in time I am re Reading this series so I have everything fresh in my mind when Con's book releases. If you haven't read a DK story I personally recommend them but I would read them in order due to the many characters and storyline. If you are starting at Blaze then try to go back and read the others as well. Happy Reading!!

We're getting there!
I always find it so hard to review the books from Donna Grant's Dark Kings series because they are always so chock full of little details that are building slowly on to one another. Anson's and Devon's story is no different although I will say that it feels like in this story we are getting past the little blocks and into the bigger details. Those moments we have all been waiting for are finally starting to reveal themselves. Now don't get to excited, this is Donna Grant we are talking about, haha. There isn't some big huge HOLY MOTHER OF DRAGONS moment. No, you don't find out what the weapon is, no we don't find out who Rhi's Dragon is, no, we don't get an answer to what's happening between Rhi and the Reapers, and no, we don't find put why Con has been a total ass for oh....9 books now. But, there are some pretty interesting moments. Some memories are brought to the surface that give some good insight. If you are a reader who has been meticulously been keeping notes for this series (Man, I wish I was you right now) you will have plenty of things to put into your notebook and plenty of things that will have your detective mind spinning. This is a hard thing for me to say but I have been dragging with this series. I was starting to wonder why I kept putting myself through the torture, knowing that we weren't going to get answers. It is difficult as a reader to continue reading through a series this long when you don't feel like you are getting anywhere. We have been waiting to answers to several questions since book 1 and now we are on 11, that begins to really drag a reader down. Thankfully though in Anson's and Devon's story not only do we get the romances that we have come to expect from Ms. Grant but we also get moments of hope that answers are coming. We get the boost we need to continue on down this path, knowing that there are several more books still to come. I really enjoyed the relationship between Anson and Devon. There is something truly pure about it that has felt like it's been missing for a few books now. While I have loved the other books romances, there was a stale feeling that I don't get with Blaze. I almost feel like Donna has been down in the mire as much as we have these last several books and the story between Anson and Devon pulled her up as well. There is a renewed energy to this book and that makes me ecstatic because I love these stories. I love Donna's 'world' building, I love when you can feel the passion she has for these characters come through. I think this book more than any other has given me the hint that it's all actually (not too soon, but in the 'near' future) coming to an end and I am both thrilled and saddened by that. I am excited to have been a part of the Dragon King's journey from the beginning and I am anxious for more. Paranormal Romance and Shifter fans this is a great series. Yep, not gonna lie...it's a long one (book 11 now) and there are times when you start to drown in all of it, but it's so worth it. If you haven't read this series, I highly suggest it, but you MUST start from the beginning. In fact if you haven't read Donna Grant before I would suggest going all the way back to the beginning of Donna's Dark world and read Dangerous Highlander. It isn't a must do, you will be absolutely fine starting at Darkest Flame, book 1 in the Dark Kings series, but if you love PNR like I do and you have the time to invest you will not be disappointed.

Can't wait for the next one!
It never fails to amaze me how well Donna Grant writes her books. Each one, including this one, has drawn me into the story an made me feel connected to the characters. I end up routing for the characters, and not just the two main one s in each story, but all the Dragon Kings, their mates, and even Rhi. And I swear, if my curiosity about Rhi Dragon King isn't finally fixed, I'm going to go nuts! Lol I'm pretty sure I know who it is because he seems to be so very aware of her even when she cloaked but I'm dying to read their story! Anyhow, I'd recommend this book and any others by this author to anyone looking for an amazing book to read!

Yin and Yang, soul mates.
This book was originally read as a part of the Audible Escape package, then later purchased as a Kindle eBook to read at my own leisure. Blaze is #11 in the Dark King series; which is a part of the greater Dark World. Characters from previous books appear and longer subplots are formed and beginning to build. Devan works for the company that is trying to take down the Dragon Kings, Kyvor, and has been selected by Kinsey and Esther to be the most likely to be able to help them. Anson, the King that has been tasked to keep the girls safe wants no part Devanโs helpโฆ she is human and he canโt seem to resist her. Once they realize that are two halves of the same whole they become an unstoppable force. As with all Donna Grant books in the Dark World series once you get inโฆ it is hard to get out.

Awesome, as always!
I so love this series and am always waiting for the next one. Anson and Devon have a story of disbelief, denial, danger (as is the norm with the Dragon Kings these days), but a great and passionate love. I never tire of the Dragon Kings or their fated mates. Each story is edgy and sexy and their "family" keeps growing. Some new information finally got to the Kings, and a previous enemy is getting closer to being found.......hopefully. I can only highly recommend this series to lovers of exciting supernatural, magical stories that keep you wanting more.

LOVE IT!
One of my favourite authors and my favourite series. I am in love with this character and story line. It moved seamlessly from one development to another. I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. For some reason this one captured me from the beginning. You will not be disappointed.
