TEEHO TE001 Keyless Entry Deadbolt with Keypad for Front Door, Matte Black

I needed a new smart lock deadbolt for our back door to replace one that used a fingerprint sensor by a different manufacturer that had stopped working, as our desert Southwest environment can be brutal on exposed electronics. I like the fact that this model uses a straight-up keypad system for access in combination with a physical key, and I found it easy to install and configure. It took me about 30 minutes, including removing the old lock, to get it physically in place, and about another 10 minutes or so working with the keypad sequences to get it programmed with customized master and regular access codes. I'll definitely be hanging on to the little coding manual for future reference if changes are needed. It doesn't take much power from the 4 AA alkaline batteries it runs on, with most of the power used going to the drive motor mechanism for the bolt. I also liked the option to set it to 'silent', although I opted to keep the sounds for the key presses so I could be sure I didn't accidentally press a key twice and mess up the codes while I was programming it. It's a good value for the price, nice and sturdy, and was ready to go with minimal fuss and tools required.

Great quality, durable, easy to install and easy to use even my four year old can use it. You can set auto-lock to any seeing you’d like and it actually works.

I got this with the hope I could finish the install on my lunch break. I was wrong. At a certain part of the install you put through bolts in to hold everything together and you get two sets of bolts, one longer set and the normal set (the ones I used) To make a long story short neither set fit thought the bolt assembly. I tried over and over thinking maybe I got something wrong. Ended up I had to drill out the holes to make it fit. I was pretty upset having to get my drill and bits and bore out the holes. Once I got the holes bored out it installed like I had I initially thought it would be link. The lock and unlock feature is nice. Plenty of codes can be set , plenty of auto features and the codes can be quite long if that’s what you want. There is quite a bit of noise locking and unlocking the deadbolt but all in all it works well. Apart from the wrong bolts being given if I was not “properly tooled” this would have been a return. Most people would probably have returned it if the bolts don’t fit so I did the company a favor and “made” it work. Buyer beware of this issue. 06/27/2022 - UPDATE: After a long conversation with the vendor it was identified that this was an error on the product production side and was stated to be RARE and also corrected. As a move of good faith, they sent me another one and it was perfect with no issues with the bolt similar to what I had before. I installed it on my back door ( My original intention) and works great. As for the FIRST one I did install and it has been up and running for a while. No issues at all. I did set auto-lock to 30 seconds but removed that because going to get the mail but by the time I got back, it was locked. Buttons are still good, with no signs of wear to show numbers being used often. I will post a longer-term update after some time has passed. 9/3/2022 - Update: it’s been trucking a long great. I did have to fix the hole the locking pin goes into because occasionally it would not lock correct because the door was slightly misaligned (100% me not the product). Once I fixed the depth and width of the hood in the door jam is perfect. Check battery power with a multi meter and minimum ware down and looks like it’s gonna hold out for a good while. March 31,2023 UPDATE: door lock is chugging along great. Same batteries as when I installed it 8 months back. I have been using the same code and the numbers have not faded (was a concern of mine). Finish in the product is still good and honestly I'm very happy we installed this. Keys are a thing of the past. I'll update again when I get a chance. Jan 28,2024 Just performed a reset to cycle out told codes I may have forgotten I set and for people who use to live here. Buttons still show no sign of ware AND it's still on the same set of batteries. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. October 4, 2024 Front door handle lever snapped and does not open the door. The code dead lock still works so it's not a fail. Just need a new door knob. Take what you will from this. Last update: hope it helped

This is my third or fourth time buying one of these—I've even given one as a gift. It's my favorite keypad lock. Great price, easy to install, super easy to program, incredible battery life (I've had one for three years and have never changed the batteries). My youngest kept losing his house key, and my husband and I both drive cars with keyless entry and starters, so carrying around that old ring of keys just didn't make sense for us anymore. I love this for the house cleaner, the dog-walker, my in-laws, my kids. Pro tip: give everyone their own code and use the last 4 digits of their phone number! No one's going to forget their own phone number, and no one has a key to lose!

Reasonable price and easy to replace am existing deadbolt. Latchbolt is adjustabe. Originally bought one, liked it and bought two more. Follow directions closely to change combo. If you goof up, like I did, directions show how to reset back to factory. Nice looking, good quality and working as it should. In use for about 2 weeks now. Perfect so far

Works great. I put this on a door in my basement to keep my brother in law entering. He would constantly enter the room an drain my cooled Heineken kegs during the night and wake up in the living room with a mere cloth over his privates. We decided a lock was worth the beer loss. The lock is quality, and easy to install, would recommend to others with questionable live in brother-in-laws. Good on Teeho, you rock, and saved a marriage!!

Setup was more straightforward than I expected, and having up to 20 user codes is great for a busy household. The matte black finish looks sleek on our front door.

For the time I've had it, it's been great with very little complications. The complications I did have were because of the door and not the lock. The installation went smooth and was fairly simple. Manual was very easy to understand. The setup was quick and easy too. Only bad side about it is that is built of some sort of plastic and not metal but the price explains that. Would recommend if you need a secure and reliable lock, but still want something modern!

It is very aesthetically pleasing and looks to be well built. I installed the door lock very easily, it came with a template that I taped to the door, I needed to make the hole bigger, thankfully my hubby had a 2 1/8 circle saw, so I was able to make it the proper size. Once that was done, the rest was very easy. The instructions are very simple to follow, step by step. I would buy this again in a second. Changing the code was very simple too, I just followed the directions. I also saved the instructions in my notes on my phone for future reference when I need to add or delete codes.
