Conspiracy Of One

I think their best albums are Smash, this one, and Splinter. This album has two annoying joke written-just-for-the-radio songs (Original Prankster and Want You Bad), that I usually skip, but the rest of the album is good to great. My favorite songs on the album are Million Miles Away and Living in Chaos. Come Out Swinging is fast and rocks, a good start to the album. Denial Revisited does not sound like Offspring at all, but I still like it, and Vultures sounds like a Nirvana song. It's kind of eerie listening to Conspiracy of One, (about terror groups attacking superpowers) the final track, and knowing that about a year later 9/11 happened. Special Delivery is creepy, written from the point of view of a psychotic stalker. Reminds me of Bad Habit and Beheaded, other songs where Dexter is singing from the point of view of someone who's nuts. And One Fine Day is hilarious and has a guitar riff that reminds me of Green Acres. Another note of interest to some is that this album has the least amount of swear words of any of their albums (and no f-words).

Conspiracy of One is the least favorite of most fans.I loved the cd throughout though.They went back to basics and just made an album for fun.Every cd they make is a little different and it shows on every album they make.What is gone on Conspiracy of One is the raw grunge sound they used to have and it has more of a polished feel.The vocals sound smoother and there is a little melody to Conspiracy of One.They sound more like an alternative rock band now and this is really is the one that kind of set them off to draw nearer the alternative sound.A few songs on here aren't punk and it is interesting to hear them not do a punk song,because that is what they are known for. I really love Conspiracy of One and it is plenty good enough for any Offspring fan.I mainly recommend this album to Offspring fans.If you are new to the offspring, I would recommend smash,because I believe it was their stepping out cd.

the record plays very good, however there is a bend in the vinyl but as far as i'm concirned this doesn't affect the playing of it. the inner sleeve shows damage to three sides wich i regret. all that being said it's a fine record and i'm happy with it !

This was the very first Offspring album I had ever Listened too, and that was way back when I was in middle school and yet to this day I enjoy this album! Songs Like million miles away and come out swinging will never Leave my playlist. Overall this album is great and should be listened to by anyone who Likes pop-punk type music (ex green day, sum-41, NOFX) or just good music in general. And on a side note, try to get the imported version which comes with a bonus track titled, "huck it".

All right folks, these guys are back and bad as ever. It's true that there were many complaints about Offspring changing their style in "Americana", but I don't think that even those people will complain now. There's something for everybody in this album. From the funk of "Original Prankster" to the heavy stuff towards the end of the album, you cannot go wrong with this one. Maximum pleasure guaranteed, so don't wait, go out there and get it. It WILL be worth the price!

Great CD and fast shipping. There are a few pretty good songs on here like Living in Chaos, Want You Bad, and Denial, Revisited.
