UPS 2200VA Smart-UPS Single Phase Online Uninterruptible Power Supply (SRT2200XLA)

The UPS I received was in black plastic rapper, not in OEM box. The unit was used, scratched up, no warranty cards, and was DOA.

These UPS units are the best technology available. They work great when you have a generator which does not always provide clean power levels and frequency changes as loads change. They do this by using more power through an isolated transformer that provides perfect sine wave at the correct frequency (60Hz for North America). This is accomplished with capacitors and a transformer. This generates heat, which is cooled by 2 fans, and a hum that is just about the same level as a conversation. They are always online providing power, so there is no lag time. They are not the best for beside your desk because of this noise, so plan on having them in a wiring closet or rack. They cost more than typical UPS units because they do much more, but they do NOT provide longer run time. You can add additional battery packs using a connector built into the back if you need longer run time. It is primarily designed to handle the power glitches that are brief and to keep things running until a generator kicks in. **Pay attention to the power plug on the model selected. In North America the larger 2200va and 3000va models need a special 120 volt plug and wiring for 25 or 30 amps. Adapters are available, but it lowers the total draw to whatever amps the outlet is rated for. It draws more power than the output in order to do the power corrections. **

Failed within months - very poorly made.

I have received new ones of these units and they come with a metal cover plate over the LCD. This one did not have that and the power cord was tied up with a sharp zip tie. They normally come with a large twist tie. I'm going to see what happens with it but I'm not the happiest I've ever been.

Box was wrapped it what seems to be a black trash bag. A printed manual from a printer. Missing cables. APC does have signs of wear. Seems it was installed previously and removed as it had scratches.

I think I was sent a used APC 2200VA. The Box it came in had been opened before. the face plate was broken.

This machine is genuine, good quality, stable performance after installation. Delivery is also very timely, very satisfied!

Este APC SRT2200XLA lo utilizo en un entorno de oficina / servidor, con uso diario, alimentando PCs, servidores, routers, además de equipo de seguridad como CCTV y control de acceso. En el lugar donde está instalado tenemos variaciones de voltaje y cortes de energía casi a diario, y el desempeño ha sido impecable. El equipo actúa de forma correcta y transparente ante cada variación. Incluso ha soportado cortes de luz prolongados de más de 4 horas manteniendo todos los equipos funcionando, lo cual habla muy bien de su capacidad y confiabilidad. Se siente muy estable, potente y sorprendentemente silencioso para el nivel de carga que maneja. La autonomía es más que suficiente, no solo para guardar trabajo y apagar equipos de forma segura, sino incluso para seguir operando si sabes que la energía regresará en poco tiempo. Como punto a considerar, el tipo de enchufe puede ser un detalle a tomar en cuenta, ya que en mi caso tuve que adaptar la clavija donde se iba a conectar. No es un problema grave, pero conviene revisarlo antes de recibir el equipo para tener todo listo. Lo recomendaría sin dudar para entornos críticos, aunque es importante considerar el tema del enchufe para evitar retrasos en la instalación.
