Best thing ever.
I just ordered these so I can’t attest to durability over time but I can say that they look and feel well made, and that they are very comfortable. I ordered one of each size and they happen to be the perfect sizes for each of my dogs to walk on either side of me. I’ve been working with them for months on walking next to me and not pulling in front of me to regain control of our walks and these are just what I needed so that I’m not fighting to keep readjusting my grip on long leashes, or getting twisted up in their leads when they act up.It would be excellent if the company could also offer a short leash with clips at both ends for those of us who want to run with the dogs at our side without having to alter our gait or body position by holding onto the leashes, but rather by hooking them to a running belt. My solution for now is just to add carabiners to the padded handle and clip them to my running belt when I want. But walking or running, I’ll definitely keep this brand in my arsenal for good. Anyone with a dog could benefit from getting these short leads. Even if you wanted the option to have both a short and a regular leash clipped to your pet, it’s nice to know you have more control when you include the short one. Highly recommend!

Great for obedience training and walking in high traffic areas.
This is an incredibly well made leash. The handle is cushioned and very comfortable. If you are asking, "what do I do with such a short leash?" - I see two great uses for this leash.1. As the name implies, a Traffic Leash. For when you are in heavy traffic areas and a normal 6ft leash isn't needed and could even be dangerous. This short leash keeps your dog right where you want him -- at your side. Its strong and comfortable and perfect for this scenario.2. Training - Perhaps you are working on some obedience or agility training and need a short leash that you can just grab if needed. In this case, this leash would be great as long as you have a larger dog. I have a 50lb dog and it works great for training - but can actually be in the way with agility training. I've tended to resort back to my smaller "tab" leash for agility training, as this leash would swing too much and bother my dog as we did the fast agility work. But it might be ok for agility on a larger dog. I do like it for obedience training, when you just need something to grab quick.Attached are pictures of this leash next to a normal "tab" leash to see the size difference and a picture of my 50lb dog with the leash on so you can see how it hangs on her.Overall, a very nicely made and useful leash

Sturdy and strong
Very sturdy with a strong carabiner and a comfortable handle.I run with my dogs and they are very strong pullers and it has been great when I run them individually.A needed upgrade: a locking mechanism on the carabiner. One time I put two dogs on one leash and somehow one of them came off the carabiner. I do remain confident in the carabiner as long as there is only one dog attached.

Best Leash Ever!
The "Mighty Paw" short '(18") training' leash is the best leash on the market - I just purchased my second short one (to replace one I (and my Golden) have started to wear out and also bought one of the longer 30" versions! I have owned & trained a Chocolate Lab who lived 15 1/2 years, a Yellow Lab who lived 14 1/2 years, and now a Golden Retriever who is 10 1/2 (and still runs faster than most her 3-year old Golden friends with two TPLO ACL repairs!). I have always been a firm believer in having my dogs walk at a heel in all but a very few situations, and the 18" Mighty Paw short leash is the perfect length, the neoprene padded grip is the most comfortable yet, the carabiner clip is much easier to use than the typical clip, and the leash is ultra light weight - so it's just you and your dog - ease of control with no slack weight. And an added bonus - this leash is perfect for those special times when I have her "walk herself" with the handle in her mouth, but nothing dragging on the ground - which she most often does at Home Depot while I'm picking out hardware (definitely gets a lot of attention, and if anyone says anything about a 'leash law', I simply point to her and say "she is on a leash" - but of course I wouldn't even think of this if she wasn't fully trained and a good listener). Every once in a while I accidentally grab one of my longer leashes (which both have a second close handle for heel / street use), and I am quickly reminded why the Mighty Dog short leash is indeed the Best Leash Ever!

Perfect
Perfect leashes if you’re looking for a leash that keeps them near you!!! Awesome for training them to walk with you & not get distracted. Started with the 24” in 2018, but just bought the 30” so it was easier for my husband to walk them - didn’t about the fact that he was taller. 3 years later they are just as nice!!I hate the 6ft leashes - I always had it wrapped around my hand & never wanted the retractable kind cause I find it extremely annoying when I get tangled up from someone else’s dog!!! I love the clip, big enough for all ages to use it & super sturdy.

Perfect length for running, or walking in crowds
This is my second purchase, I somehow lost my first one on an outing after having it for over a year and it's so much harder going back to what I used before. My Malinois and I think this leash is the perfect length for running or crowded areas as it allows some distance between us but not too much. Before I ran with the longer leash coiled in one hand while guiding with the other. Now it's a single-handed operation. It is very well constructed, feels good in the hand, and seems to last (until you lose it!).
