2004 Ford Explorer
Recently purchased a 2004 Explorer and the seller only had one remote key fob. A little research and it turns out programming a replacement fob is a piece of cake. Numerous places on the 'net with the process, and this seller has it available on their website as well. I was able to get both of the new remotes programmed and ensure my existing remote still functioned within about five minutes. They work. They work from a distance. And, they are a very, very nice price. Also, I did purchase two additional ones that I am leaving in reserve. At thsi price, it is worth having a backup. On a previous vehicle, I waited too long to get a replacement remote, and they were astronomical if you could even find one. Seriously, at this price for two, get four.

Easy to program - works perfectly
Easy to program and works perfectly. The instructions were clear - the fob comes with a paper slip with a QR code. The site gives detailed directions. I did it wrong at first but then realized that the 10 seconds to complete the sequence began as soon as I inserted the key, not when I began the next steps. Once I figured out my mistake, the process was extremely easy and maybe one-tenth or one-twentieth the cost of having a store program it.

Great replacement FOB, Easy to program
These worked perfectly and were very easy to program. (They do come with batteries, not sure if that's in the description). They come with a card that gives you a website with directions for your specific car, and it's very easy to follow along. NOTE: I used the directions for the older car version and the programming didn't work at first, so I looked up the car version that was a couple of years newer than the car I have and worked perfectly. You do need to program all the remotes at once (and also any existing remotes) so that they're all on the same code. Also read to make sure these are the right FOBs for your car make & model. There are different ones, and you need to get the one that goes with your car. Just mentioning this as I didn't realize it when I was first looking.

is advertised on amazon that it works on a 1999 to 2011 mercury grand marquis but it doesn't. chatted with them and they confirmed that it IS NOT compatible with my 2003. then they tried to sell me 1 that would work for over 3 times the price. the old bait and switch. do not buy from this company

Great deal if these work on your vehicle
Worked really good with my vehicle Make sure you get the right one your vehicle takes Easy to program on my vehicle, look on internet on your vehicle n see how it to do it Always keep a extra 1 or two around of these just in case you loose one I try to always keep extra keys n remotes around when i can I keep one of these in my storage shed n in my vehicle, i live in my car n camp out at times in tent or sleep in my car, i also keep one on my key chain I also keep a key that just opens my door n wont start my car, real cheap to get without the chip, i keep one in my wallet n storage shed, so if i lose keyless remote n car key i can get in car n get my extra keyless remote n in my car n shut the alarm off Also i try to keep extra key with chip in my car I keep many backups of keys so i can get in my car n start if i lose the keys on me One time i had to break the window to get in my car cause i locked my keys in it n my wallet was in their with the extra key n my cell phone, that cost me some money to fix, got a extra window at junk yard n paid a mechanic on the side to install it, that cost me around 125 dollars to do n if i didnt get car window at junk yard n get a mechanic not in a shop to do it, it would of cost me a lot more I should of just called a lock smith if i had the money but i was sleeping in my car n got outside to pee n didnt have keys or wallet or phone on me n i locked my door out of habit n was hung over n maybe still drunk some from the night before

Fob is a great value, but the instructions on the description and provided website are completely wrong
EDIT: The instructions in the description and the website they give you when you purchase are completely incorrect for 2008 and newer Mercury Mariners and Ford Escapes, but the fob itself *does* work and only requires one pre-programmed key to operate. Below are the instructions I found elsewhere online that worked to program this fob to my 2008 Mercury Mariner. If you have other fobs you may need to reprogram them all at once. 1.Close all doors, then open drivers door and press the Unlock button on driver’s door while it is open, insert key into ignition. 2.Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 8 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. (if the door locks do not cycle, then it was done incorrectly. You must start over by removing key and beginning from step 1) (Off is the position where you can remove your key, RUN is the position just shy of starting your car.) 3.Within 10 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 5. 4.Within 10 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 4. for all other remotes. 5.Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Very sensitive but do work.
While these did program ok and do work, they are super sensitive. If you get even CLOSE to the trunk one, it pops open. If you keep in your pocket, you will probably set off the alarm. That being said, they do work.
