Fluorite is a very popular mineral, and it naturally occurs in all colors of the spectrum. It is one of the most varied colored minerals in the mineral kingdom, and the colors may be very intense and almost electric. Pure Fluorite is colorless; the color variations are caused by various impurities. Fluorite is one of the more famous fluorescent minerals. Many specimens strongly fluoresce, in a great variation of color. In fact, the word "fluorescent" is derived from the mineral Fluorite. This necklace offers a wide variety of the colors of fluorite. Between each fluorite bead is a small crystal. The necklace is about 20" long with a lobster clasp. The pendant is a pretty abalone shell cabochon wrapped in sterling silver filled wire. The earrings are single drops of the fluorite beads dangling from a French hook ear wire. All attempts have been made to photograph these items correctly in the natural light. However, colors can/do vary with everyone's individual monitors.
