I love Mole Sauce on almost everything, however my old recipe made a lot; did turn out as good when the recipe is divided. So, started looking for a quality prepackaged sauce & found it in this mole poblano sauce. Easy to make, used chicken broth for a little umami, smooth, creamy, served over tamales; frozen the left over sauce for future meals. Delicious!

I have never written a product review in my almost 20 years of being an Amazon member, but I had to for this amazing product. I am Hispanic and grew up by the border. I’m also 50 and just can’t eat the way I used to growing up. I’ve been craving mole but didn’t want the oil and sugar that accompanies it. I researched and found this brand and ordered it with a hope and a prayer. IT IS AMAZING!! I cannot believe the flavor - so rich, the same complex flavors I remember, a tiny bit of spice - I am in love! I ate it with chicken and rice but can’t wait to try it with other products. I made it in the microwave with the ratio it suggests and it was perfection. I highly recommend trying this!!!

A friend of mine who also loves Mole recommended this mix. I was skeptical at first because I just did not think a mix that only required adding water or stock could be anywhere near the restaurant-quality Mole's to which I am accustomed. (I am a frequenter of Rick Bayless's Frontera Grill in Chicago.) But my friend is also a connoisseur, so I decided to go with his judgment. What a great surprise! This mix really is that simple, and it really does taste good. I made my first batch, adding chicken stock. The mix thickens very quickly and is ready to heat in just a few minutes. It did not disappoint. I tried using water the second time and did not notice much difference. I am not sure I can say the resulting Mole is 100% restaurant quality, but it is darn close. Moles can vary quite a bit in flavor, so I can't say for sure this will be to your liking. However, if you favor a rich, chocolatey, and spicy Mole, this mix might be the one for you.

This is easy to prepare. It is rich and complex tho a little too sweet for me.

Tastes authentic enough for a mix - great for someone who doesn’t need to make a ton of sauce, and the flavor is great!

Got this because it was gluten free and I'm trying to find DonaMaria with no gluten. This is pretty good, and since I'm the only mexican (just a wee bit) in a house of mole unbelievers I like that i can half the recipe for just my use. I'm possibly gluten sensitive so you celiacs don't quote me, but it seems to be GF as described and tasty too.

High quality remasters great

I highly recommend this mole sauce. It is so easy to prepare and tastes way better than the ones I've had in restaurants. The package yields about 2 cups of sauce, but according to the instructions you can add more liquid. I prefer a slightly thicker consistency so two cups was enough. I used water instead of broth to mix the sauce, and it came out perfect. This sauce has a slightly bitter taste as other reviewers mentioned, but I couldn't tell after it was baked in the enchilada casserole. I'm getting another package!
