Hovico Solar Fountain - Panel Water Pump for Bird Bath Solar Panel Kit Outdoor Fountain for Outdoor Small Pond, Patio Garden and Fish Tank

Year 2 and its still working great. I did take the pump and solar panel in for the Winter. I reworked how I first set it up because it was spilling the water out of the smaller fountain I first had it in and now it has a larger water reservoir to draw from. It lifts the water a foot to just bubble over rocks (no up spray). The fountain spray was catching the wind and pumping the water out quite fast. Of course, without sun, it stops working, but that's the nature of solar power.

I planted a water lily in a large pot and wanted some circulation to help keep the water fresher longer. The moment the little solar panel hit the light, it started running. I initially used one of the cap accessories but ended up taking it off because the water was deep and the air flow was perfect without the accessories. Super easy to use, compact, and the cord length enables you to move the panel around to make the best use of the sunlight. Such a great price for what you get!

Didn't work right immediately after setting it up. In full sunight it would turn off and on, so the water would spray up, then stop for two - four seconds, then spray and stop again.There's no stand for the solar panel so it just lays there. I had it propped up in the sun and it still wouldn't work right.I already had to take back the first one because they send me the wrong item, so when this one didn't work I just threw it in the trash. Wasn't worth the effort of returning a second time. Waste of money.

This little fountain worked better than I expected. Its 100% solar powered so no sun, it turns off. The fountain spray is higher than I expected. Will definitely get a few more.

This little solar powered fountain works great for the money. If you’re looking for a simple and cheap fountain the different nozzles included and the pressure of the fountain will scratch that itch.-Here’s what you need to know - the pressure is dependent on how much sun the solar panel gets.-Shady? Don’t plan on your fountain working.Sunny? Your fountain will be the star of the garden.-It would be nice if there was a stored battery and an on / off switch to control when the pump ran or for when the clouds came by so the pump would continue to run.-As you will see in the video the pump is working nice, but if I step in front of the solar panel the pump stops working.If your fountain runs out of water the pump will continue to run. A shut off float would be nice, but is probably an added cost to produce.-For the money this is a good value pump. Overall I would recommend and buy again.

I put this pump in a metal tub and decorated it with rocks and fairy statues. It works well when the sun shines on it. Not so well on the overcast days or evenings. Its easy to set up. The size is perfect. suction works great with good water flow. Happy customer

I bought my first one about a month ago and was so impressed with the pumping power of the little thing that I purchased another. Unfortunately the first one quit working the day the second one arrived. I guess this is another case of you get what you pay for.

A great little solar powered fountain! It really does need the sun (it shuts off if you walk in front of the sensor and shade it), however it will still run intermittently during a cloudy day - just with less power. I placed it in my formal bird bath and the birds loved it so much that I ordered another for my makeshift bird bath. The attachments are nice but I wanted a steady, more bubbling look so I left it without attachments on bird bath and slid a copper tube over the bowl version for the deeper water.

Unfortunately not very satisfied with this fountain pump. It keeps cutting off, even in full sunlight. The water pressure is low—just a weak trickle that’s barely visible. I’d recommend a stronger pump for better performance.

Compré esta bomba para una pequeña fuente y funciona de maravilla, el cable que une la bomba con el panel solar es bastante largo (poco más de 2 metros), alcanzó perfecto para colocar el panel sobre el techo y que los rayos del sol le estén dando casi todo el día, la relación calidad precio es buena, en el pasado compré otra bomba, pero nada que ver con ésta en cuanto a la calidad de los materiales, esperemos que dure mucho, ya les estaré actualizando. Por lo demás el paquete llegó en buen estado. Ojalá les sirva la información a los consumidores.Hola de nuevo, hoy es 26 de mayo del 2025 y quise actualizar la reseña a este producto, la bomba sigue funcionando, el sonido del agua cayendo por los cuencos hace que las aves vengan a beber agua (también algunos insectos), lo cual es genial porque hemos estado teniendo días verdaderamente soleados, volveré por aquí en unos meses más para volver a actualizar.

Birds like moving water. Even when the sun wasn't out, the little pump had the energy to bubble out enough water to make it ripple in the Bird Bath. These pumps last a couple of seasons and for the price, I will keep buying them.

Definitely do not recommend for use in small ponds as the ad suggests.There is a disclaimer that says this will not work with cloud cover but this hardly even works when the sun is out and bright.It sputters, has poor flow, and gets clogged extremely easily just from natural pond debris. I’m constantly outside adjusting it and cleaning it.This should not be advertised for small ponds what so ever.This would be better suited for a bird bath and that’s it!
