How about three of these and I use them outside in my little Water gardens and they were great however they do not hold a charge and if the sun is not shining or a shade passes over they stopped working but as long as the sun is shining on it. It works beautifully.

I just installed this in my birdbath, and the solar panel was working even in light shade. It's working very well. I did not use any of the attachments because they shoot water beyond the edges of my small birdbath, and i wanted a bubbler effect to keep the water moving. Love this. I hope it holds up well. Update, it's a overcast day, and it it just kind of periodically pumping out water, but it's still moving water.

Solar panels are weak, not enough energy produced on cloudy days so if you're hoping to keep this in the bird bath or shallow pond for the winter and you live in the PNW it's too cloudy to use year round. Save money, buy a better solar powered bird bath pump. NOTE. Pump works ok, solar panel are older variety and not useful on cloudy days. I have 2 other solar powered bird bath fountain pumps that work year round even on very cloudy days, that I have been comparing this solar system against.

this has lasted longer than a solar fountain i paid $30.00 for. it's the perfect size for my 11 gallon container pond. i wish the solar panel came with a clip though but that is easily remedied. does not work in overcast - has to be full sun. glad i got it. hopefully it lasts a while longer

Barely works

This little fountain is perfect for my needs. I upcycled a bathroom sink and put a heated (for winter) shallow birdbath in it (the birds didn't like the deep slick bottom, even with rocks). I installed a drip system to fill the sink through the faucet. I wanted a little fountain to periodically stir up the water, one not so large the water would go over the sides and one I didn't have to put a timer on. The separate solar panel is great. I put it off to the side on a shepherd's hook where it is mostly in the sun. When the sun is bright, the fountain runs continually, clouds and a bit of shade it spurts on and off every few seconds, and at dusk smaller spurts every 5 seconds or so. I'm happy with this.

Ordered as a replacement for a water fountain solar pump that stopped working about a month after having it. This one fit perfectly and it works great, much better than the original that came with the fountain.

Worked for a month then suddenly stopped working. Very disappointed, called support, not a working number. Not worth the money spent.

A great little solar powered fountain! It really does need the sun (it shuts off if you walk in front of the sensor and shade it), however it will still run intermittently during a cloudy day - just with less power. I placed it in my formal bird bath and the birds loved it so much that I ordered another for my makeshift bird bath. The attachments are nice but I wanted a steady, more bubbling look so I left it without attachments on bird bath and slid a copper tube over the bowl version for the deeper water.

Unfortunately not very satisfied with this fountain pump. It keeps cutting off, even in full sunlight. The water pressure is low—just a weak trickle that’s barely visible. I’d recommend a stronger pump for better performance.

Compré esta bomba para una pequeña fuente y funciona de maravilla, el cable que une la bomba con el panel solar es bastante largo (poco más de 2 metros), alcanzó perfecto para colocar el panel sobre el techo y que los rayos del sol le estén dando casi todo el día, la relación calidad precio es buena, en el pasado compré otra bomba, pero nada que ver con ésta en cuanto a la calidad de los materiales, esperemos que dure mucho, ya les estaré actualizando. Por lo demás el paquete llegó en buen estado. Ojalá les sirva la información a los consumidores. Hola de nuevo, hoy es 26 de mayo del 2025 y quise actualizar la reseña a este producto, la bomba sigue funcionando, el sonido del agua cayendo por los cuencos hace que las aves vengan a beber agua (también algunos insectos), lo cual es genial porque hemos estado teniendo días verdaderamente soleados, volveré por aquí en unos meses más para volver a actualizar.

Birds like moving water. Even when the sun wasn't out, the little pump had the energy to bubble out enough water to make it ripple in the Bird Bath. These pumps last a couple of seasons and for the price, I will keep buying them.

Definitely do not recommend for use in small ponds as the ad suggests. There is a disclaimer that says this will not work with cloud cover but this hardly even works when the sun is out and bright. It sputters, has poor flow, and gets clogged extremely easily just from natural pond debris. I’m constantly outside adjusting it and cleaning it. This should not be advertised for small ponds what so ever. This would be better suited for a bird bath and that’s it!
