Is this toilet light rechargeable or does it take batteries? Thanks!

Batteries. I had to change them once in its 15 month life. My next one only lived 9 months so only one set of batteries. I loved the colourful effect and that you could use the bathroom in the night without turning on the noisy extractor fan/light. But I now use one that hangs on the wall - no colour change but much more robust and entirely rechargeable.. It only needs charging every 6 months approximately. I miss the colours but this 'in toilet' sort of light is not robust and costs a fortune in batteries. But it is brilliant for teaching young males to aim properly at night!

Does the sensor work during the day as well as night?

Only if its very dull. It has a light sensor in it. I use mine in a small cubicle over the toilet to dimmly light the whole cubicle.
