I bought this bass for my Father. He was wanting a cheap bass so he could record bass lines. I looked at several and this bass looked to be the best quality out of all of the $300 basses I saw on here. We got the bass and the first thing I noticed was that it was pretty close to perfect on the action. I didn't need to do anything to the bass other than tune it.. although I did add a little adjustment to the truss rod, the saddles were perfectly set. It sounds great, it plays great, it stays in tune, and even the accessories are decent quality. This is the one you want.

Being a Squire, It still has the Fender's quality for an affordable model precision bass guitar, great for a beginner, but I will search for a higher quality guitar once I get better at playing it, so far I enjoy Fender and Ibanez designed guitars, This bass is great for my learning needs, great playing right out of the box, including the rumble amp, very powerful for a practice/bedroom/livingroom amp. Very pleased with this bass everything you need to get started bundle for a beginner bassist.

I have been really pleased with this package set so far as a total beginner. Every component seems more than adequate and I have not encountered anything I don’t like, the guitar was easy to tune and has been playing great. The frets are very smooth and it seemed to arrive ready to tune and play. A friend more familiar tested it out for me and it really sounded nice with the amp. The stand for some reason wasn’t included but I wrote to Fender and they said they are shipping me one for free.

Has been a great starter set up for my son. His instructor and other professionals we know also agree. Has been working great.

Had this for several weeks. Everything seems to be good. Bass and amp work fine, seem solid. Love the tuner, easy to figure out. I'm 6'2", and the strap was pretty small for me, so that is the only mod to the kit I had to make. Can't comment on the 3 months of free lessons. Trying to get the hang of it off of YouTube for now.

My son loved it! Bought this as starter kit for him learning bass. Great value. The bonus three months of lessons through Fender are great. Everything arrived in perfect condition and was packaged really well. If you are buying as a gift, the box does have Fender in large letters on the outside.

I absolutely love this kit. I had not the slightest clue how to play bass when I first bought it a year ago. Now I'm playing in front of people and really enjoying my time with it.The amp it comes with is not the best in the world but it gets the job done (which is why it's great for a beginner). It's got a useful aux hookup which you can plug a laptop into. This allows you to play along with music! It's also got a headphone hookup which you can use together with the aux so you can practice in quiet.When I first opened my bass outta the box, the strings didn't have enough tension and was unplayable. There's a bolt hidden in the neck that can adjust the tension of the strings. You'll need an Allen Wrench to adjust it. I think the strings didn't have enough tension due to the different atmospheric pressures and humidity which caused the wood to flex. It sounds bad, but really it was no biggie. Got it playing within 10 minutes of opening the box.
