I checked out a bunch of Bibles in-person before buying online (to save $). This one is super cute, has good margin space for taking notes, and I tested some “regular” (not Bible-specific) pens on the back notes page to show you how the paper holds up. The text is smaller than some other NKJV personal size Bibles, but that’s because it includes the verse references in the inner margins. The note taking margin space is the same size as the NKJV Journal The Word Bible (Large Print).Bible paper is thin (obviously), so most pens will ghost through the pages unless maybe you’re using a light-colored ink. But I did some tests showing the ghosting, if any of them bleed (which were the Staedtler, Pentel Energel, and Sharpie pens and only bled slightly). The “both sides” tests were to show how readable notes would be with the ink ghosting. In my opinion, you probably won’t need to invest in Bible pens unless you really want to. Depending on how heavy-handed you write and what color you use, regular gel or felt fine tip pens should work fine, but maybe avoid ball-point pens since they’re more likely to smear. God knows Himself that I've been wanting to get this very bible for so long and I even prayed for Him to help me to get it and He answered my prayer! thank you Jesus! as soon as I got this bible, I opened the package, took out the bible and loved how it came clean and nice, the leather feels nice even the pages feel soft to me it's so beautiful. I love how it lays flat, it's perfect for laying it down on the table, bed etc and Bible journaling or just reading the word of God. I also love the bible references, I have never seen so many in bible like this before, I love it so much! you can see how Jesus fulfilled the Messianic prophecies, and even see that the Bible is absolute Infallible! God's words are so pure and true, I could go on but I would definitely recommend this bible. it would be such a perfect gift for any child or adult or even elderly person, my grandmother and my aunt loves it. The text could be bigger. I like the non-reference layout better where it’s line by line. But was as described and still love it.

really loose fitted perfect for summer weather and daily wear

I love this Bible. The cover is soft and it's a "floppy" bible (my favorite kind). Plenty of lined margins for notes. The pages are thicker than normal bible pages so you can write without serious bleed through. I added the Noble tabs from Diversebee and bought the Turqouis/Silver Vines Faux Leather xl Christian Art Gifts Women'sFashion Bible cover but could have went with a large. I love using the Mr. Pen Black Multi-liner bible pen to write on the pages absolutely no bleed through. I have Diversebee and Mr. Pen soft gel highlighters that work wonderfully as well. I like to color coordinate so thought I'd share the accessories I bought with my bible.
