Just in time
Ok i ordered this EGO light as a work replacement for an old failing generic battery light. It came Sunday and wouldn’t you know it we had a torrential rain event which caused us to lose lights for over 3 hours. Popped in a battery and we had enough light using just the low setting and the battery usage was minimum . It was easy to setup and use just unfold the light panels you want slap in an EGO battery (it will take all the different batteries EGO produces ) and that was it. With the battery on the bottom of the lamp it is pretty stable. The instruction also give you a hanging position but im not going to use that option. It is a little wonky in looks as I am used to the light getting brighter just by clicking the on button and you are just increasing the number of LEDs that get energy. With this light you increase the brightness by selecting the number of panels energized . Remarkably this will cover an entire living room and connecting dining room with no problem. All in all to me it was worth spending the money , not only do i have a great work light but i gained a backup utility light in case the power goes out and i do not need to worry about the battery usage as i have several EGO batteries that i can use from other EGO tools . I will admit it is pricy no two ways about it !
