Power Wheels Battery Adapter Compatible for Kobalt 24V Max Batteries

This adapter can be used for many imaginable purposes. It is sold for toy cars but I ordered it to revive my old Ryobi 24 volt string trimmer. The trimmer was replaced with an 18 volt trimmer because the batteries wore out and Ryobi stopped making 24 volt batteries. When I saw this adapter I decided to get it and use Kobalt 24 volt batteries for my old trimmer. I cut off the Ryobi base and installed this adapter in its place, wiring to the power lines inside the handle. It worked perfectly and brought my old trimmer back to life with Kobalt 24 volt batteries which were on a 2 for 1 sale. Why? I like the old trimmer better than the 18 volt replacement.

I really liked this product. I used it for industrial electronics work, when I was testing things at my toolbox. Kobalt 24V batteries do output 24v +-0.5v (Generally plus) if they are fully charged, so for all 24V DC rated devices this worked great. The inline fuse is too big to save the device connected to the battery, but it's good enough for protecting the battery. I would have liked to see cylindrical fuses here, so I could swap the fuse for a smaller size. I think this battery could work with any fuse from 1A - 30A, as long as you plan everything out properly. Don't expect to get an hour of runtime at 30A, but for motors it might help. I ran some 90V dc brushed motors off this without issue. If a machine at my factory went down due to a failed DC supply, this would have given us an hour of runtime per battery to get things ready for a proper replacement. If I was a facilities manager, I would install one of these on every machine. For updating firmware on a PLC, this would be more reliable then your power grid, and with modern PLC's accepting redundant 24V inputs, this would be a great degree of confidence to have.

I have a Jackery battery ("portable generator") that I like to be able to connect to use in clever ways. This adapter helps me connect Kobalt batteries to the Jackery's DC input. Red is positive, Black is negative. My intended use is to connect 24V Kobalt power tool batteries to the Jackery, just as a way to get a little bit more runtime when camping or whatever. This battery adapter, along with a cable bought elsewhere on Amazon, provides that. It allows a 4Ah, 24v battery to charge this little Jackery device at around a reported 75W. The Kobalt battery eventually cuts itself off at a reasonably-safe 2.86v per cell. It's a total win for my own weird idea of supporting my small, temporary off-grid operations -- and I couldn't have done it without this adapter. There are other adapters available that are 3D printed, and I also considered printing my own. But for the price, I couldn't justify spending the time to get a solid print when this adapter is made from injection-molded ABS. Will buy again for future projects.

Used this for my kids' electric scooter. didnt want to spend the money on replacement batteries and having to deal with slow charge of lead acid. So I got this so I could use my kobalt batteries. Easily crimp this to the stock wires. Good price. Can use this with a whole bunch of applications.

Cheap fix for expensive battery replacement. The Kobalt 24v Max battery is double the 12v original and it shows, the kid toy is quite a bit faster now, it will haul a 200 lbs adult and a wagon with the child in it. Don't recommend that though, the circuit board, wires and motors can and will get hot. You can smell it and feel it. I opened the compartment to check on anything melted...nothing was. Keep the big kids off it and dont strain/drag down the motors. When little kids ride it, you don't strain the motors or overheat the wiring. Teach kids throttle control, the buggy is now fast enough to roll over, if turned to sharply st speed....learned by experience. Easy install, fair price and quick shipping Remember, you are doubling the power/current sent to the motors

These are great for combining with a 24-12v step down converter. Let's you run 12v devices off your 24v Kobalt batteries. Great for emergency use. Well made and seem to be durable.

It connected to the battery perfectly and the wires only needed connectors to make it functional.
