This dimmer really worked out perfectly for our bedside lamps. With the dimmer stuck on the side of our nightstands (with Command strips), we no longer have to get out of bed to turn off the lamp when done reading.

I rate this dimmer highly and am happy with the product. The thing to know that doesn't bother me, but might bother some people is that the dimming is not a smooth, even transition from zero to 100% brightness. It might be due to the kind of LED lights I'm using, and I've noticed similar things with LED photo lights with built-in dimmers. Dimmer range from about zero to 70% is about the same brightness. From 70% to 80% the brightness jumps up but is about the same in that range. From 80% to 95% is another bump up in brightness, but similar, and then with a slight boost to the maximum at 100%. So, at least for these lights, it's more like 3 or 4 levels of brightness rather all the subtle, smooth graduations of brightness that would be expected from a dimmer wall switch with incandescent bulbs. But it's no problem for me and the convenience and functionality for the cost is great.

Putting my lamps on dimmers is a game changer! There are so many times when I just want a soft ambience in the house and being able to dim the light changes the entire mood. Many lamps especially cheap ones don’t come with dimmers so this is a perfect way of Being able to dim easily. Lighting is so important in a house and so I bought four of these for all of my lamps!

Perfect to make old lamps dimmable!I got this because I had a three-way vintage flower lamp that let you select between: 1. 2/4 flowers, 2. The other 2/4 flowers, or 3. All 4 flowersThe light is ABSURDLY bright with modern LED bulbs to the point of being unusable. I wanted to see if it was possible to retrofit a dimmer switch or find something I could drop in, but it was looking almost impossible to find a dimmer switch that was also brass to preserve the look of the lamp.The dimmer portion itself works great, but it sticking out such a long ways is a little awkward. Either way, it let me make my old lamp infinitely more useful and pretty by allowing me to dim it in any setting of bulbs! Highly recommend if you have a similar problem that you want to fix.

My lamp is so tall that when I’m already in bed I still need to get up to reach the knob to turn the light off. This switch was the best invention ever. I love it!

These work wonderfully on my Christmas lights that are way too bright. Yesterday’s lovely dimmer Christmas bulbs are too hard to find. Everything today is obnoxiously bright. This dimmer works so well at bringing their brightness down on a strand of lights I keep lit all night in the bathroom. It makes them cozy and I can go back to sleep without abrupt light. I have them set to a smart plug so I can just ask for them to turn on or off. I still have to manually adjust the brightness, but this is a doable route s paying $50-60 for a (very reliable) Lutron one. I decidedly abandoned the cheap smart alternatives, as they are a headache and poor quality. This dimmer switch is great. I will be buying more.

I attached one of these to the side of each of my nightstands so that I could easily turn on and dim my bedside lamps. These dimmers work great. I am using them with dimmable LED bulbs and you get a full range of dimming on these - no flickering. The "click" feeling at the bottom of the slider lets you know that you have turned off the light. Great product. FYI below the dimmer switch is a retractable cable phone charger.
