Belaggles Belay Glasses - Carbon Black

Initially, when I put these on, I thought I was going to puke and got a headache. I am somewhat sensitive to motion sickness and the slightest turn of your head moves the image you see very quickly and in an unnatural way. After a day at the crag, I think I am getting used to them, but I do have to hold my head very still. It does help with belayer's neck. Peripheral vision is good while wearing them. I checked their website and there is no info about headaches or motion sickness.

I don't know why but I get a lot of neck pain staring up at my climber for too long. This creates a safety issue as I have to either bear it or look down to stretch my neck out. Wearing these means I don't have to look up and I can clearly see my climber. The only downside is when you wear them you look like some old lady's grandma.

These glasses are sturdy and work well. The nose bracket also serves as a handle, which is convenient for one-handed placement while one is belaying. Although they are heavier than some other brands, I have found them to be comfortable.

The glasses are very nice! The quality is high! I like them very much!Only two weak points: I think the glasses force the eyes a little and peripheral vision is reduced when you're using the glasses.

Purchased these for my Dad, they're a bit too tight. If you have a larger head they'll be tight

OK they are a bit of a luxury, but belaying can be a literal pain in the neck when you're doing it for any length of time. I'm really happy with them.

I like th stiff frames because it makes it easier to put on with one hand while holding the rope with the other. That way you can start out without these on.

Well made. Sturdy. Not like a cheaper imitation. You get what you pay for.
