I’ve been using the Novation FLkey 61 MIDI Keyboard for a bit now, and I absolutely love it! It’s fantastic for working with FL Studio and music production in general, but it’s also great for live mixing and performances. Everything is very intuitive and easy to use, which is perfect whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. The quality of the pots and faders is impressive — they feel solid and responsive, making adjustments smooth and precise. One of my favorite things is how well it integrates with FL Studio; it’s easy to get your head around all the controls, and the customization options really let you tailor the experience to your workflow. The RGB lights add a cool visual touch and help with navigation, especially during late-night sessions. Overall, this keyboard offers great build quality, functionality, and versatility. This was the perfect birthday present for our 15-year old who has been tinkering with music production for some time and recently started a music BTech. This solved two wants at once - his desire for FL Studio Producer in a proper functional version (6 months free) and a decent midi keyboard - with the amazing integration and immediacy of being able to select, control and adjust all the parameters, sounds, plugin settings etc with pads and knobs on the fly. It is an absolute bargain for the facilities and the fact it's a professional piece of kit. It makes creativity so much easier than using a mouse all the time and must be pretty intuitive as he appeared to have mastered it with in a couple of days! He and his mates are laying down some great beats and writing and recording lyrics. (Who said teenagers have a tiny attention span?) His gain is TikTok and Fortnite's loss ;-) Only downside is that I don't think I'm going to get my studio headphones back...hehe!

Bought for my son's 15th birthday as he uses FLStudios and wanted a compatible keyboard. I watched the reviews for the basic one and this version, and went for this one as it has a few extra functionalities with it. He loves it and has created several great pieces of music with it.

Go read or watch some professional reviews to see if its right for you. The knobs are 270 degrees smooth turning and feel good. The wheels feel good. The faders feel good too. The buttons and pads are okay. The keys feel a bit cheap but this is a cheap device. Its not going to upset anyone to use. The screen is too small and angled poorly to be of good use. I'd rather have paid £50 more for a decent sized screen that could've opened up some interesting workflow possibilities.

Only got this yesterday and once setup. Which I confess didn’t go to smoothly. As firmware failed on the first attempt. But customer support were great and apparently I didn’t install the drivers before updateing. there is no mention of this in the installation process that is online. Anyway once done all is working and has made some basic function easier to use.

Finally, a keyboard for FL Studio. The pads and pots feels solid. The keys aren't weighted but more of a synth feel but still feel great. If I'm honest the biggest gripe for me was the lack of instructions in the box regarding navigation of menus with the pads etc. A bit of an inconvenience but no biggy as plenty of youtube videos and help from both Novation and Imageline websites. I could go on and on about how great it is but I won't. If you use nothing but FL then great keyboard to improve your workflow etc. Easy to set up, took all of a minute or two for me, plugged and played. I love how clean the design looks and a lot of thought has definitely gone into it.

This is a must keyboard recommendation to all music studio lovers
