Why buy this device? Why spend a few dollars on it? What’s the point of this thing? Will I really use it? How hard can it be to groom yourself?Yes guys, we have all mostly asked those questions after seeing this gadget. We’ve seen numerous designs or variations of this gadget. We have said “I don’t need that!” or “I could do that without that thing!”. Yes guys, our thoughts on this gadget is like us asking for directions! We would never ask for directions because we can find it somehow, eventually, maybe, hopefully....right?!Ok let’s cut the BS! This device is a tool that will help a guy with his grooming! It’s like having GPS and a printed map of where you want to go. It helps you see a clean line or turn on your face that will guide you to an easier grooming result. It saves you time and prevents mistakes. It helps you pave a clean smooth path to a better result. It will also boost your confidence in believing you could get professional results. So why is this important you ask? Because any man growing up will eventually have to groom himself and keep himself clean and proper. It’s like this, we learn to write with pencil & paper but those little lines on the paper give you a guideline of where to keep your pencil so your writing looks good. Well this is similar to that very idea. You get clean sharp results. And just like writing with a pencil, you will eventually get the hang of it and the lines on the paper disappear. So later you may not need this gadget, but it’s a great tool that will help you be a better groomer in the end. And we all know a gentleman is a well groomed man. Happy Grooming Guys! 🧔

After trying this item several times, I have decided to give my opinion. I bought this item because I wanted to start shaping my beard. Since this is my first beard shaping tool, I found out that this is easy to use — a durable plastic device with clear lettering, easy to hold and multiple styles to choose. A well thought-out design.There were two concerns that I noticed. One was the instructions that came with it was hard to see and read. In the beginning, when I first used it, I was hold the device the wrong way because, in the instructions, I thought that’s how to hold the device. It was until I saw the pics on Amazon, then I changed the position of the device. Also, there was only one video I found on YouTube that related to this device. I wish there was an instruction video for this item. My second concern was when I shave with my straight razor, the blade catches the plastic. It happens quite often. If a stainless steel version were to comes out, I would buy it.Overall, as being my first beard shaping tool, I like it and would recommend it to others about it.

For those of you that do not want to go to the barber to have their beard trimmed this template will come in real handy. Simply position the template against your face to outline the shape of your beard the way you want it and then proceed to remove the excess hair. When you are done with one side of the face do the same thing to the other side and you should have great results with a nice clean line. I like to use a barber pencil to draw a line against the template on both sides of the face and then look in the mirror to see if both sides are even before shaving. I then put the template back against my face lined up with the pencil mark and proceed to shave off the excess hair. I get good results and this template makes the trimming of my beard effortless. It also works great for shaving underneath the chin to get that nice looking line in the neck area. It kind of takes the guesswork out of trimming your beard.

I bought this in September 2018 (for $15) and gave it away to a friend, but it arrived early and presumably my friend likes it, as he says he has used it ever since. Granted he has always been the “fashionista” of our friend group, but I believe the shaping tool has helped him save time by virtue of its existence. The product is exactly as described. For men who can work with either hand, it's perfect. But I'm totally left-handed, so I had problems. I could hold the tool in place on the left side of my face, but it was very challenging trying to shave with my right hand. I couldn't even hold the tool in place on the right side of my face. So, although I could shave the right side, it's messed up because I couldn't keep the tool positioned properly. In addition to those problems, I discovered that the beard on the left side of my face is full and dense, while the right side is patchy. Now I have two different beards. I decided to go to a barber and ask what style of beard will accommodate the density problem. I'm giving this five stars because it's a great product, and I doubt that many other men have a problem like mine. If anyone has suggestions for working around this, I'd like to hear them. The neck, by the way, was much less problematical than the face.
