I am a 60 year old, post menopausal woman who started experiencing some exercise intolerance. It's a terrible feeling to want to run and exercise hard, and your body just starts to get overwhelmed. It's improving now that i'm on HRT. But I still have trouble with recovery, end up too tight after a long walk, and the foam roller isn't enough. Then I learned about BCAAs, branch chain amino acids, three of the 9 EAAs, essential amino acids, that are vital proteins. And for menopausal women, Leucine is one of the BCAAs that we need most for building and retaining muscle and recovery. Once I started taking BCAAs and EAAs, my recovery greatly improved and the stiffness greatly reduced. I also like that the BCAAs in this are the optimal 2:1:1 ratio that is supposed to be optimal for efficacy, and a nice high amount. It's also delicious by itself or in an electrolyte beverage, dissolves easily in water. No odor or clumping.I'd be even happier if it were sweetened naturally with stevia and or monkfruit - two zero calorie, zero glycemic, all natural sweeteners that taste great with fruity flavors. I generally avoid artificial sweeteners. But I haven't found anything else that gives me this potency that I can get down. And I can't beat the price. It's affordable, and so many high performance supplements are not. Best of all, it works :)

I received the fruit punch flavor. I like the flavor but the Sucralose sweetener makes it a little too sweet. I just add a little more water. Mixes great with water. I haven't tried it in a smoothie, but it would probably provide enough sweetness in the mix without needing anything else. I take it at night since it has L-tryptophan in it, which may help with sleep. I haven't noticed any stomach issues. Nutricost always seems to have quality products at a reasonable price.
