Works with the Skull & Co. GripCase
I purchased both the BASSTOP Portable Dock Replacement Case and the J&TOP DIY Replacement Dock Mount since I could not find information on fitment of the Skull & Co GripCase Set and fit into the protective carrying case that comes with the GripCase. Both the BASSTOP and the J&TOP DIY are made from what appears to be molded ABS plastic, giving a nice professional look, and create a much more portable dock set up.First the J&TOP DIY:I like the styling of the J&TOP with the inclusion of the vent ports that create a switch logo, as well as having a spot for the green light to shine though. The case is a bit bigger than that of the BASSTOP allowing for more airflow, though not sure this is really needed seeing how the OEM dock doesn’t have as much venting, but also isn’t as small of an area. Now on to the BASSTOP:This case has a smaller form factor and only vents in the back of it for any sort of air flow, will have to see if this causes an issue in the future. There is no spot for the green light, several people on YouTube have cut into it to fit it in, others have just ignored it. I put a dab of gel super glue onto the plastic light diffuser and glued it into a on of the side vent ports, then added a small drop of glue to the light board to secure it to the diffuser. Between the glue and the main circuit board it seems to be help into place. Time will tell if it holds.Relating to the Skull & Co GripCase:Both docks allowed for the Switch with the GripCase on it to nest into place, so at least with my setup I would say both work with this particular case.Concerning the size of the dock case, I wanted one that would fit into the protective case that comes with the GripCase set. While I personally liked the look of the J&TOP DIY case better, only the BASSTOP would allow for the section that holds the console to fit as designed. And as a bonus the power cord will also fit into the same cavity whereas the J&TOP DIY was a bit tight. In the end I will be using the smaller BASSTOP Case due to it fitting into the Protective case better. I would recommend either dock case if you are looking for a way to make your dock more portable. Assembly is simple after watching any of the YouTube videos, and took me less than 30 min to disassemble the OEM Switch Dock and transfer everything into the BASSTOP case, including figuring out where and how to mount the light, and reassembling the empty OEM Dock.Hope this was helpful.

A good compact dock shell for Nintendo Switch
I wanted a secondary compact Switch dock for travel and this fits that need pretty well. I considered some 3D-printed options and other cases available from Amazon, but decided on this one.Pros:* Perfect compatibility because it depends on Nintendo's official dock circuit boards. Alternative docks can have issues because of system updates and other problems. Nintendo doesn't use standard USB Type-C docking and video support like laptops do.* It's tiny. This takes up basically no space in comparison to the larger AC adapter, Switch console, cables, and controllers you'll want to throw in a bag with it. It feels sturdy enough that you can just haphazardly throw it in a bag without worrying.* Includes the screws and screwdrivers you need. Nintendo likes using the rare Y-type screws so this is pretty important.* Pretty easy to assemble. The boards fit perfectly.Cons:* Instructions not included. The box it comes in has a QR code instead that links to a YouTube video with video ID HCeKWj7j_aI* The Switch fits more snugly in this than in the official dock.* Partially blocks the console's intake vents, but that doesn't really matter because there's enough uncovered area and it's just intake.* You'll need a Nintendo dock, but extra ones are expensive. Wait for a sale. I got one for $50 and they've been even lower. I wouldn't really recommend gutting your primary dock for this.* The included screwdriver had some issues with removing the Type-C port for me, so I used a separate PH#00 screwdriver I already own from a separate precision set.You still need to use an AC adapter that's compatible with Nintendo's dock, like the Nintendo one that comes with it. It's easy to forget to pack one when traveling. Phone chargers won't work, but I use laptop 45W chargers without problems.

Quick and easy install but look up another video for disassembly of the switch dock
The install took me 10 minutes tops and works perfectly. The video they provide though misses a couple of screws when disassembling the original switch dock though, so to be safe, look up another YouTube video of this process. One thing you do lose is the LED on the dock but this isn't a deal-breaker. Overall much smaller to travel with and a very high quality build.

Perfect for travel and keeps original Nintendo software and hardware a++
Excellent love my new dock. It works perfectly and takes up way less space. if you take your time you can easily takeapart the original dock without breaking anything.

The only custom dock that won't brick your Switch!
Yes, it's a replacement case. Yes, it involves opening the original dock. But even the least tech savvy person can do this, myself included. My hardware tech skills will go as far as putting a computer together. Anything involving soldering, I'm out. So this is the most straightforward, safest way to have a decent dock that won't constantly scratch your switch and it's actually portable. Go for it!

Exceeded my expectations so far.
Works as expected. Plenty of videos on youtube to show how to disassemble the old dock and assemble the new one. Fits in my Satisfye elite case and the switch with the satisfye grip also sits in the dock perfectly, the grip also provides some extra weight to anchor it down. I also installed the LED light, there is room in the case for it but there isn't a specific place to install it. I just have it facing out towards the back where the vent holes are.
