Bulk Grains Rye, Organic, Whole Berry, 50 Count

The media could not be loaded. This would be a 5-Star product if it weren’t for the poor packaging. The paper bag just doesn’t seem durable enough to withstand the average transit experience. All the grain was scattered in the box, but I was able to salvage the grain in a 5 gallon bucket. If I were the manufacturer, I’d explore a better, non-paper bag option for this product. The big positive is the quality of the grains themselves. They are very clean and don’t have that much particulates in the product. Great for mycology use.

Rinsing these rye berries was no big task at all, very clean.

Bought the bag... used it for a while... stored in a tightly-sealed plastic container to avoid any contamination... noticed more and more white powder... looked closer and realized it came with bugs.Now, throwing around 30lbs away.

All around happy service and product. I use it as a starter for growing mushrooms. If you need more than 25lbs a month. Don't mailorder...buy local. But a 50 lb bag every 60 days. Ideal

The grain is fine. Seems fresh and clean. The big problem is that the package was opened then taped shut when I received it and it was a little over five pounds short of the alleged 50 pounds. I issued a complaint to the third party supplier but with no satisfaction. Not inclined to repurchase even though I use about one to two hundred pounds of rye (for course ground flour) a year.

The bag with rye was broken. I collected about a pound from the porch, I can imagine how much was lost before. Other than that the berries are pretty clean and sprout in 24h. Happy about the last part.
