We have been getting pinhole leaks in our copper pipes. We keep chasing and fixing them, but more pop up. We definitely need to do a complete repipe, but we are not ready for it yet, for several reasons. So in the meantime, we wanted to find something to protect the pipes in the spots that we could visibly see had corrosion. This tape is amazing. As described, it STRETCHES. So we pulled it very tight, and wrapped in all the spots that looked like future problems. We only want to buy a few months time, and this may just do it. It sticks really really well to itself and creates a tight seal. While I can't say it works to stop a leak, we have a bit more peace of mind that there's a layer of protection for the weaker sections of pipe. Will report back if a leak springs up under any of this tape.

Arlon Silicone Self Fusing Tapes - We bought this to fuse together a hose in our carpet cleaner that sheared off completely. Comes with no instructions so I looked up silicone self-fusing tape on YouTube for some hints. This tape works! Carpet cleaner is working great and no more leaks. Also fixed a broken metal handle on a broom and made it almost as strong as new. Would buy again.

I used it to stop a pin hole leak on copper pipe, I have acidic water eats through copper and brass. Got acid neutralizer and the takes care of the eating copper problem. But this tape wrapped tightly around the pin hole worked to hold it for a week until I got back home from work and could fix the pipe. Do not know much else or other uses for it? Have not had a need for it other places. It would not work as tape to hold something on unless you can wrap it around the item. For that it works.

This tape was worthless! I missed the return window or it would have gone straight back! What a waste. Not sure if I can figure out a use for it. I bought some of this type tape a few years ago at the farm show and it was awesome. I repaired a cracked pipe from a freeze that lasted over 3 yrs (moved so don't know if it lasted longer). Fixed pvc pipes that the joint was bad and wrapped a hammer handle. NOT THIS STUFF!

i am sure it will do as stated but the size of a roll is really hoky -- about the size of a roll of electric tape --- not -- that much tape d/t its thickness -- it is my fault because i looked at the picture and assumed it was an indicator of actual size ---- read read read

Works well, I used as a grommet to protect wires coming through metal siding wall to protect the wires from the sharp metal edge. I also used to repair a hydraulic cable where the outside of the hose was damaged.

Regretful purchase, complete waste of money.
