Works very well. Sturdy and easy to maneuver. Wheels lock and unlock easily. Easy to put together.

I use this every day in my classroom and it's a game changer; I don't notice so many back pains because I don't have to bend over at my desk when I've got this! It fits large laptops fine, and I can even lay a chromebook fully open flat and it doesn't hang off. The lip is big enough that it will fit a laptop no problem. The magnetic backing works really well, too, and I have a few magnetic cups I keep on my side for pens and things. Putting it together isn't too bad, but definitely bring some sort of screw driver so you don't have to use the freebie tools included. My only beef is that the wheel locks aren't really strong, though you also wouldn't want them to be too strong or you'd tip the thing over. Otherwise it's light, rolls well, holds a lot, and looks good!

I bought this for my classroom, and for the most part I’m happy with it. It suits my needs (perfect height to stand behind or sit on a barstool), has some storage, can hold my heavy teacher edition book, and can be moved fairly easily. It had some problems with sturdiness initially. The shelf on top came out and stripped the screws. Fortunately I had some students who were really hand in wood shop who were able to fix it. The maneuverability could be better, as the wheels tend to jam up; one even came unscrewed and came off completely. Overall, for the price, it works pretty well and I’m glad I bought it.

~Happy teacher. Small podiums no longer work when you are handling papers, books, and possibly a laptop or iPad. Also, mobility is important in my classroom. Classroom management skills like moving closer to behavioral issues and standing in different locations to access smartboards, TVs, and whiteboards requires constant motion. I was at a loss until I found this lectern. The shelf is just the right size to store teacher's manuals or copies of worksheets. The top has a lip that holds my laptop and books in place. It was easy to assemble. In fact, it was one of the easiest products in a box that I have ever assembled. There are brakes on two of the wheels. My only complaint is that I continue kicking one of the brakes then trying to move the lectern, which sends me into a small spin. The students enjoy it, but I find it aggravating. I think, however, the problem is with my big feet rather than the product. I would definitely buy again and have recommended it to colleagues.

This lectern is exactly as advertised. It suits my purposes well as a preacher in a small church, although it could be a little wider to accommodate both my sermon notes and big bible simultaneously. However, the shelf is a good back-up. Assembly was easy; be sure to put the locking wheels in the same position on opposite sides -- not mentioned in the directions. It suits our criteria of being sturdy but easy to move, and a clean design. A very good value.

I hate putting things together. This item was easy to put together, though. It took roughly 30 minutes. The item was as pictured. When together it’s sturdy. It looks great in our conference room.

I bought this as a sort of easel for when I was working with models so the review is a bit unfair as I'm not using it for its intended purpose. It's solidly made and eassy to assemble and very stable so, for your lecture notes it will do nicely. Fairly heavy so not so easily portable. As a rest for model painting, it has eased some of the pressujre on my back.
