Graphic Design School: The Principles and Practice of Graphic Design Paperback – Import, 26 August 2013

This book is fantastic. It is full of amazing design examples and is laid out beautifully. The images are fantastic and high quality, and the gridwork is extremely well done. It covers the graphic design basics so well and paired so nicely with the college class I was taking. I'm done with the class, but I am definitely keeping this. It's not just a textbook, it's a book of inspiration and a TON of amazing tips that could help anyone in their work.

This is the perfect compact guide to your first year in art school, media or anything similar. It's also a pretty good read by itself. I use this book as part of the basis of my first year media/graphic course that I teach. It's timely, well explained and compact. The explanations are clear and the assignments both interesting and instructive. I recommend it to anyone aspiring to the graphic arts, but particularly to foundation year and first year art students as it will clearly explain processes and aesthetic thinking behind designs. Couple this with Adobe's classroom in a book series and you will have both how and why covered.

I am a graphic design student at university and I love this book! It's great to refer back to incase I didn't make enough notes in lectures or great to use if concepts arnt grasped in class as it's easy to read and learn from ! Would highly recommend and already have done to so many friends. I have found it cheaper through this seller than high street stores so was very happy to wait a couple of days for delivery.

Good basic book on graphic design which gives you all you need to know about the fundamental areas of graphic design. Use it as part of my resources in teaching graphic design

This book was nice and it was recommended by my electronic publishing teacher. It gives a lot of definitions and such, which is very nice! + I did rent the book since my class was only a semester long. Renting process was quick and it came in 2 days!
