So sorry, but I am unable to answer that. My set does not have a cymbal attachment.

Not sure about a recommended method, but I had success with electrical tape.

Guitar hero was a yard sale purchase, but I didn't realize the pedal didn't function. I bought this sensor/cord combination and it was perfect. Extremely easy to install...worked as it was designed to. Very fast shipping.
