There are all kinds of board books, but once again, none quite as fun as the ones Xavier Deneux creates. Yes, these are simply works of art for the preschooler to explore. They’re a wonderful way to introduce the world around us via the sense of touch, a wonderful way to introduce them to the written word. Similar to the TouchThinkLearn books, this is an oversized picture book that can be worked with on a table. No doubt, when you least expect in, the pages of this book will be turning. Homeschoolers will definitely jump at the chance for the opportunity to introduce this tactile marvel of a book to their little ones.Each one or two-page spread introduces an activity or a group of things that are familiar to preschoolers. These pages include Meal Time, Bedtime, Playtime, Bath Time, Clothes, At the Market, At the Table, On the Road, Animals with Short Hair, Furry Animals, Animals with Smooth Skin, Animals with Rough Skin, Animals with Scales and Shells, and Birds. Combined with a wide variety of tactile experiences, this book is an excellent learning tool. The tactile “experiences” are quite varied and present a wide variety of unique Touch-And-Feel Elements.This is a fun, fascinating book that is the perfect complement to the TouchThinkLearn series of books. Whenever someone wants a recommendation for young children, this is the direction I point them in. These books will definitely awaken any preschooler’s sensory system with the Touch-And-Feel Elements, the vibrant colors, familiar items, new words, and little surprises like that sticky piece of toast! My toddler LOVED this book. It is by far her favorite book. She can sit for 30 mins looking at it. 10/10. I just purchased another big book from this author!!

This is a really nice book with a lot of cool textures for little ones to feel. There are about 2-3 touch pictures on each set of pages and the book has 11 sets of pages. Like other reviews stated, there is a page that has sticky toast that sticks to the other page (pictured). There was no plastic covering at all over that picture when it arrived. I thought the price was a bit steep for what it was, but there are a lot of great pictures and words to teach young kids.

I painted two coats of clear topcoat on the sticky toast and let it sit over night. It is no longer sticky and it’s nice and shiny!

This the the most fantastic touch anf feel bookwe own. I am surprised to so many negative reviews specifically around to the sticky tost. I get how the pages can get stuck and could be destroyed. This didn't happen in our case because on the first read my kiddo touched it like hundred times taking the stickiness down a notch. I love this sticky part as it explores texture without the mess (otherwise I would have to let my kiddo play with honey. Lol). Other textures are also fantastic, and book has so many "items" to name my kid wants to to read it over and over and over again. All off the critical reviews (taking the rating down to 1 star for the sticky tost) seem so harsh and unfair for this publisher. Great book, in fact this will become my go to toddler gift among family and friends with little ones.

My 14 month old grandson loves this book! He carries it to our lap and turns the pages & has us “touch touch” everything! It has 30 things to feel!!

We love to look at this book to learn new words. My son likes to touch the different items and point to the shapes. We bring it to the table after dinner and it's proven to be a fun way to learn. We are planning to get the others in the series soon. Highly recommend!
