Q: Will this work for a 1931 00-18 split headstock?

These don't work on slotted headstocks. There's not enough room. As I recall, both E strings get in the way.

Q: Will this fit a 3/4 size guitar?

Yes and no. I have a full sized guitar (acoustic) but it doesnt fit because the bridge at the top of the neck is really low so i can't fit it under the strings. It does fit my electric because the way the wood was cut above that top bridge.

Q: Where can I get replacement buttons?

I would try contacting Martin & Co. or cannibalizing another strap.
