Anolon 54711 Advanced Nonstick Springform Baking Pan / Nonstick Springform Cake Pan / Nonstick Cheesecake Pan, Round - 9 Inch, Gray

What a wonderful product. For more years than I can count, I have been making New York style cheesecake (the one that calls for 2 1/2 lbs of cream cheese), with O.K. results, using my old aluminum spring form pan. Finally it gave way, thank goodness, so I bought this Analon pan. It works very well, cheese cake cooks more evenly, with less cracking. I didn't even wrap it and put it into a pan of water, and the cheese cake turned out perfectly, cooked evenly. I used to wrap and sumerge my old thin aluminum once in a while, but found it to be too much trouble most of the time. With this pan, you don't have to worry about it, it cooks evenly without the water bath. I am also replacing the old aluminum pan in our winter home. I don't make cheesecake all that often, but when I do I want it to turn out perfectly. The ingredients are pricey, so it is worth it to have the best pan for the job.

I love my Anolon cookware! When I needed a new springform pan, Analon was the natural choice. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! The spring mechanism is strong and solid. This pan will last a long time. The non-stick finish is smooth and lives up to its claims. I recommend this springform pan and all Analon products.

I normally consider spring form pans to be shapers, not really a leak proof container. I bought this one to replace one by Chicago Metallic that had problems with the closing clasp (springing open on its own.) The quality is first rate with a nice feel to it. First thing baked was a cheesecake. Not trusting it to be really leak proof, I wrapped the bottom half in aluminum foil, and then put it in a water bath. I guess I wasn't paying close attention and filled the water just a tad too deep...enough that it was over the aluminum foil by a bit. A normal spring form pan would have water logged the crust. With this pan, no water entered the pan and the cheesecake turned out perfect.

Pan is sturdy, much more so than the one it replaced. Turns out it is also larger than the one it replaced; old one was ½" smaller than advertised. This one is correct size. Non-stick works quite well. Leaked a little but I was baking a fairly liquid recipe, so am not surprised. Very pleased with all aspects of the pan.

Solid baking pan

I purchased this pan for a Pineapple Upside-Down Cheesecake and it worked fine. As other customers say, there was a little leakage but nothing too serious.(I just put a cookie sheet on the rack below to catch the drippings). I don't know if the manufacturer can resolve this as it is two pieces of metal they are trying to get a waterproof seal on. The leakage was minimal. The best part was the clean up. It was a breeze! Nothing stuck. It released very well from the cake itself. So, in closing, for the money this was a great buy. When they can get it one-hundred per cent waterproof, I'll give it 5 stars. This is a really fantastic well made piece. I cook a lot, so it is important that cookwear that I purchase be reliable. This hits the mark. Absolutly worth the price, you wont be dissapointed. Hardware functions well and is not made from cheap metal. Im extreemly happy with this purchase and no-doubt i would reccommend to anyone who bakes and bakes alot. Im sure this will last many years of abuse in my kitchen. Update 2-5-19 I have purchased a second because we make so many cakes and cheesecakes now. Still holding up well. These are a nice thick metal. Not waterproof, but not an issue because we just use foil. For this price point these are still the best Ive found.

This is a very high quality springform pan. Substantial, solid and well designed, I am sure this will be the last springform pan I ever need to purchase. Far superior to the one it is replacing and well worth the price.

Love, it does not leak and no scratches. Iv used a butter knife cutting cheese cake and quish. Finish is commercial.

Nice heavy bottom, very sturdy and no sticking!
