Prime-Line U 9802 Extruded Aluminum Sliding Window Lock, 1/4 Inch, White, 2 Pack

Easy to use and does the job.

After building a coaxial cable window pass-through for ham radio cables the window had to be left 2" higher than the fully closed position. A pair of these locks keep the window secure. It is not a a living are of the house so I have no concerns about it taking longer than latches to open the window.

I'd been curious about this product for a long time, and decided to buy one, which was a surprise when I noticed it came in a packet with two. I have several sliding storm windows, which I like to open occasionally to let some fresh air in, but even though the area I live seems to be safe, I felt worried about leaving them open, as there's nothing stopping someone from removing the screens and lifting the windows up to get in. I wanted to buy a few of these, but am glad I ordered one set. I hadn't really thought about how and where they would need to be attached to the windows, until I had them in my hand. I first tried the bedroom window (which is different from the rest of the house). I pushed it into place where it seemed obvious to go, and then tightened the screw after determining how much distance I felt comfortable leaving the window open. I was pleased that it attached perfectly, it was so easy, I wished I'd bought them years ago. Next I tried all the other windows, but unfortunately I couldn't get one to fit. The window in the bedroom, slides sideways, the others slide up the way. In the bedroom the part where the lock attaches, is very narrow, just 1/4", the other windows over 3/8", or 1 cm.to be precise, Unfortunately there's no way these will fit your windows, if the area it needs to slide over, is more than 1/4". I'm happy at least it will fit one window and was worth the money.

What a hassle. I ordered 6 of these. Order shows up with 2 white 2 packs, but then the other 4 were gray 4 packs. Okay, blame the Amazon warehouse. Do a return, and get 4 replacements. Luckily the second package I opened had one that the screw was malformed and would not turn. Yippee, return #2. Strangely, I could use Staples like the first return, so how I get to drive to a ups store also. Long story short, just make sure you open and inspect each package to hassle sure they function.

Our dog kept opening the sliding windows and sneaking out of our house. We wanted to be able to keep the windows open a tad for fresh air as well as for the portable AC vent, so being able to lock them open with these clamps is the perfect solution. Very easy to install and does exactly what we need it to do. Highly recommend.

I got these to secure the windows in my children's rooms, as they know how to open the installed locks and have repeatedly left them unlocked. We had someone break in through an unlocked window so I got these to ensure that doesn't happen again. Very simple to install. I put them at the top so the kids can't reach them. But they are also easy to take out in the event of an emergency.

on the picture it shows open straight channel ,but the on I received its on inward angle ,which makes it hard to install on single hung window

I purchased them to prevent someone for entering my home. I can open my window enough to let air flow. Not enough room for someone to get inside.

Works great for securing your windows. I use this to secure my window after I install my air conditioner. As my window is on my balcony I want to make sure that when I am not at home my window is securely locked.

Produto simples mas muito legal. Trava a janela em várias posições. Como minha trava da janela quebrou, essas mantém seguro e posso deixar uma pequena fresta para entrada de ar. O gato já foi testar e não conseguiu abrir. Aprovado!
