Comet ZWD 4040G Pressure Washer Pump 4 GPM 4000 PSI For 1" Hollow Shaft Engines (Fully Plumbed with Unloader External Bypass)

I received the this pump today. It arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. It took less than 10 minutes install and I was up and running. Ran it for about an hour and it worked great.

Fitted perfect on my application.

Replaced the AAA pump with the comet. Works great

I just installed the pump, started it and immediately turned it off. Picture shows what I believe is water in the sight glass. I guess I have to turn it, drats. Didn't expect a problem with a new pump.Update: I come to find out it was just air mixed with oil and not water. I called the manufacturer and they were happy to help. So far its working great.

When I received the pump I had problems with a missing gasket in the filter where the hose connects to. I didn't notice the missing gasket because I never have seen a hose filter like this one. Well since the gasket was missing I tightened the filter hoping that the water wouldn't leak out and it cracked the clear view tube. I called the shipper up and they answered the phone quickly and was transferred to Adam. Told him what happened and he took my name and address down and said he'd send me the part out today. I'm highly impressed with their quick solving of my problem. Thank you and I wouldn't hesitate again to buy from them. In the mean time I was able to create a temporary fix until the part arrived by using a 3/4th coupling that I shortened on my grinder and using 2 hose gaskets to make it work. Thanks for helping me out quickly.

My Simpson commercial series 4400psi pressure washer isn’t used often however the original AAA pump failed blowing water and oil everywhere with about 8hrs of use on it. I take care of my equipment and this isn’t the first AAA pump I have had to replace. This time I decided to try the comet ZWD 4040G pump instead of the AAA pump. So far I did my spring concrete cleaning and it performed just as good as my old pump (when it worked). So far great pressure, no leaks. Easy to install onto my motor (14Hp Kohler Command Pro).I also purchased the extended warranty thru Amazon in case something happens to this pump but hopefully I will have better luck with it than the AAA pump. Will update review if anything changes

When I received the pump in the mail it was packaged very wells. After using it daily washing houses for 1 month it has held up greatly and get the job done. Great for washing driveways with its 4000 psi and 4 gmp. I have found Tool Barn to be a great store with great customer service.

Put this on my Honda GX390 and fired it up. Works great. No issues at all. The Karcher it replaced was a manufacture discontinue so I had no choice but to look at something else. It was between this and a CAT. Since I dint use it every day I decided to save a couple of hundred and buy this one...so far so good. If it ever craps out I will update this review. Overall seems to be a goo value for the $$$...Jim
