Great on Wear 'n Tear
My li'l guy's gone through six pairs of shoes in the past 4 months so I was looking for something that would last. The amount of rubber along the sole is fantastic - at least twice the amount on other shoes. I'm hoping that'll prevent the toe and heel holes he keeps getting. The design and construction of the shoe's impressive!! I also bought the Iron Man X-Celeracer.UPDATE: We're on month #4 and he still doesn't have any scrapes or holes in these shoes. These are absolutely wonderful and I'll definitely be purchasing more. These've lasted 6x longer than his other shoes. I'm a happy camper. :)

cheapest on Amazon
I had bought these for $55 from the stride-rite store and luckily didn't let my son walk out wearing them, because i came home and found them for $28 on amazon. the shoes were ok. My son was dying for them so i got them. They were not overly easy to put on every day and he outgrew them within two months. they made him happy while he had them. When it was time for new shoes, i was happy that i convinced him not to get the ironman version and to get a different style instead.

Not wide enough
I've been a fan of Stride Rite shoes since my kids started walking. But this model really disappointed me. I always buy wide shoes for my twin boys but this model is not really wide. If your kid really needs wide shoes, this model is not for him.My kids used them for a few hours during the weekend and they were OK. But after they spent the whole day at school with them, they walked with difficulty and complained about their feet hurt and they were all swollen and red, it was horrible. Of course I am going to return them

Too Narrow
Had to send these back because of the elastic under the tongue. My son could not even get his foot in the shoe.

narrow and hard to put on
My son loves spiderman, so i got these in 9.5 and 10 and neither of them fit him and he just turned 3, so i went to zappos and ordered the style with with the red lights (his choice) in a 10 wide and he says they fit perfectly, but i think he will be able to wear these for a couple years, hopefully, but this style without the lights is too hard to put on, there is no elastic to stretch to get your foot into the shoe.

Very difficult to put on
There is a thick elastic band under the tongue that is much too tight. My grandson tried so hard to wear these sneakers, but after actually forcing his foot into them, they left a large red mark on the top of his foot. The sneaker, itself, was a good fit, size-wise, but that elastic insert made them impossible t wear. I returned them.

Great for kids and parents
My son loves these shoes. He has been wearing them daily for about a month and after I wipe the dust off they still look new. He calls them his fast shoes. I liked the way they fit and wore so well that I got the Captain America ones for my other son and a pair of pink x-celeracers for my daughter. Love Stride Rite - if these wear as well as their old slingshots they won't need another pair until they grow out of them.

Very Tight
These sneakers are super cute. Looked like good quality. However, I couldn't even get my toddler (who loves Spiderman) to complete the process of putting them on. The thick elastic strap underneath the tongue was entirely too tight. I considered just cutting it; but decided I shouldn't have to do that for a new shoe to fit. They were returned.
