Reliable Wood Repair in a Handy Tube—Great for Quick Fixes Indoors or Out
I picked up the Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler (6 oz, Natural Color) to patch up some small gouges in my outdoor deck and a few dents in indoor trim. It’s been a solid performer across both jobs. ✅ Pros: Water Resistant: Held up well on my outdoor repairs—even after a few rainy days, no swelling or cracking. Smooth Application: The filler spreads easily and doesn’t clump, making it beginner-friendly. Fast Drying: Sets quickly, which is great when you’re trying to knock out a project in one afternoon. Paintable & Sandable: Once dry, it sands down nicely and takes paint without any weird texture issues. Natural Color: The neutral tone blends well with most wood types if you’re not painting over it. ⚠️ Cons: Small Tube Size: The 6 oz tube is fine for touch-ups, but you’ll need more for larger repairs. Nozzle very hard to press Dry time- Takes atleast 24 hours to dry completely Thick Consistency: While it fills gaps well, it can be a bit stiff to squeeze out—especially in cooler temps. Nozzle Control: The tube tip could use a finer point for precision work on narrow cracks or trim. 🧾 Bottom Line: A dependable wood filler for everyday fixes. Whether you're patching up furniture, trim, or outdoor surfaces, this tube delivers solid results with minimal fuss. Just keep in mind the size if you’ve got a bigger job ahead.

Excellent glue for bonding wood to vinyl
Per the subject heading... I used this to bond a vinyl trim piece from the edge of a desk top piece back to the desk top after sawing off a section of the desk so that it would be shorter. The hardest part of the project was removing the residue from the trim piece after peeling it off. The desk is a commercial desk, and the desktop is a very densely packed press board of some sort--much better than the stuff you buy from Warfair or similar. I was concerned that the glue may not stick well enough to the super smooth edge of the desktop after I sawed it with a circular saw blade designed for finish cuts. This glue did a fantastic job. It is very tacky right from the start, so even though I had several long wood clamps, I really didn't need them. The glue held the vinyl in place after firmly pressing it in place. I did use the clamps to really press the vinyl trim tightly against the edge of the desktop, but then I could remove them entirely and the vinyl stayed put. I do recommend that you clean up any excess as early in the process as possible, as it is very sticky, so removing excess will be more difficult once it dries. Excellent glue--would recommend.

A little too dry
Great color for my purpose. It did work, but was a little dry. Because of that it was a little more difficult to apply. Should have been a little more paste-like.

Flawless Furniture Repairs Made Easy with Gorilla Wood Filler
First off, if you're having trouble squeezing it through the tube after a while, cut the plastic end piece further down for a wider hole and put a small amount of water in the tube, problem solved. I’ve gone through quite a few wood fillers over the years, and this one has easily become my go-to. The Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler in the 6 oz tube is incredibly reliable, especially for the kind of work I do—filling hardware holes in dressers during furniture flips. First off, the consistency is perfect. It’s smooth and easy to apply right out of the tube, which makes it super convenient when you’re working on multiple holes or detailed areas. It spreads cleanly without crumbling or feeling too watery, so you can really pack it into hardware holes and get a solid, even fill. One thing I really appreciate is how well it dries. It hardens nicely without shrinking or cracking, which is a huge deal when you're covering old knob or handle holes—you don’t have to keep reapplying layers. Once it’s dry, it sands down beautifully to a smooth, seamless finish that blends right into the surface of the dresser. It also takes paint exceptionally well. After sanding, I’ve never had issues with uneven texture or weird color absorption. Whether I’m painting light or dark finishes, the filled spots disappear completely, which is exactly what you want when restoring or updating furniture. The squeeze tube packaging is another win—it keeps things clean and controlled, and you don’t waste product like you sometimes do with tubs. It’s especially handy when you just need to hit a few holes quickly without dragging out a bunch of tools. Overall, if you’re doing any kind of furniture refinishing or DIY projects, especially filling hardware holes in dressers, this wood filler is dependable, easy to use, and gives professional-looking results every time. Highly recommend.

Better than drywall caulk!!!
I love this product more than I love drywall caulk. Not only does this product come in various colors, but I believe after it is applied and dries, it makes a stronger surface to work with than drywall caulk. When applying it, it is a thick dry paste, because it is a paste with visible grainy ingredients. It is very dry, but with a little water, even just applied to your fingertips, you can easily mold this paste into any shape that your trying to apply it to. Fill holes, fill chips and gouges, fill separated corners, fill the gap of anything especially old houses that settle and adjust and get used and instead of replacing a full wood fixture, just fill in the gap, unless you got a remodel budget. The more water you mix with the paste the more playable the paste becomes, but it doesn't take much water to get the affect you want, playable, adhesive, and moldable.

Not great, not terrible
I bought this to use as filler for a veneered particleboard table that was damaged during a move. A chunk roughly the size of a quarter was chipped out of it. My plan was to fill the divot in, sand smooth, and then use a touch-up kit to make it less noticeable. This wasn't a particularly expensive table so all I was looking for was for it to look OK from across the room. This stuff was more viscous than I thought, about the consistency of stiff dough. Seems like it should be a bit thinner but the tube hadn't previously been opened so I assume it wasn't dried out. It doesn't adhere particularly well to particleboard. This strikes me as odd because the particleboard is a very irregular surface that should provide a lot of nooks and crannies to grab onto. I'd hate to see what adhesion is like on smooth wood. Forget about trying to use a putty knife to glide it onto a surface. I had the best luck mashing it into place with my fingers. It took me a while to get a glob to stick in place. Once it did, I waited an hour and sanded it smooth. It's very dense so it takes a while to sand and the fine dust will clog paper pretty quickly, but it does provide a smooth finish when you're done. Unfortunately, the putty shrunk a bit as it dried so there is a slight indentation in the middle of the repaired spot. Like I said, the table isn't particularly expensive so I'm not too worried about it, but I expected this stuff to be a bit easier to use. In retrospect, I probably should have thinned a small batch down and tried to work it into the chipped surface a bit better. The color match also wasn't great-- it's a fair bit lighter than walnut. Overall, if I had some more time to mess with it, I might have gotten better results. As it stands, it's a bit finicky to use the first time. Not sure I'll bother with it again.

Another Great Gorilla Product!
Very good wood filler. I needed this for a recent project and got the Darker version, since I'm working with walnut. It's easy to use, although it does need some pressure to get it out of the tube. You can snip more off the pointy dispenser part of the tube, if needed. This has some grit to it, probably because it helps the product grab on and stay put. I'm just assuming this. Just give it the proper drying time and sand off the excess. It sands flat and you honestly can't really see it, at least on my project. I primed and painted over the who thing and you simply can't see where I put this. I can't comment on the durability, but since I pained over it, I know I will have no issues whatsoever. Overall, I like Gorilla products and have high confidence in this.

Great gap filler for floor boards. squeeze bottle makes projects harder. get tub!
i had large gaps between floor boards and used this to fill. works greats! although squeeze bottle made it tough i would have gotten small tub of it instead. overall product is great. dries gritty/sandy but a wet paper towel wipe post application does the trick!

Not as silky smooth as portrayed as in other reviews
Having read the reviews I thought it was going to be toothpaste smooth, or at least not as dry and could be rather powdery/flakey. When dry they are quite easy to sand and stick around quite well. Overall, 4-star is fair.
