Receive the product today I needed it to break a 5/8 grade 8 15/16 nut that I was unable to get off by any other means including heat impact gun pneumatic gun breaker bar Etc I did place a little bit of oil on the tools screw and commenced to Breaking the nut ensuring it I had it centered on the flat side of the nut use the socket wrench for five or six turns to get it started and then use my 24 inch breaker bar at half turn each intervals, I Mark the Chisel end with a pencil to make sure that there was movement going towards the nut and after a few minutes going very slowly I heard the nut crack I removed the tool and placed it on 180° opposite side of the nut and repeated the process this time it only took about a minute for it to crack. After that I used a hammer and chisel and knocked the nut off with one hit. Looking at the Chisel end of the tool I don't see any damage or any deformation so I'm guessing it'll be ready for the next go around so far impressed with the tool it did exactly what it needed to do

Worked, took about 20 minutes.. had to break the hole in three places, then used some voce grips to spin it off... This one had the highest rating on Amazon.. In the reviews were decent I would buy again.. it held up well, could definitely use it again it seems like they're good quality..

Awful Experience I recently purchased a set of nut splitters, and I have to say, this is the worst product I have ever received. The container arrived in a completely dirty condition, with bits of grass and debris inside. To make matters worse, the #2 tool has visible metal cuts, and the rear piece is entirely broken off, leaving the ring just placed to the side. This is unacceptable for any product, let alone one meant for use. I would strongly advise anyone considering this product to look elsewhere. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration!

You know how it goes, you are working on exhaust, you've fought well removing all the stuck nut/bolt combos, using pretty much every trick in the book. But you need to remove that LAST bolt and of course, it is the worse of them all, rusted solid, frozen, and you have used up every curse word in the book and lots of time. In my case, I got the bolt and nut to break free but I ended up rounding off every point and could not get it to grab any further to back it off the bolt! Defeated I decided to order this tool along with and a bolt extractor kit. Since the nut was froze on the bolt, I decided to just remove the nut with this splitter tool and have the extractor set ready to go if needed. The splitter worked well! I split the nut in three places, it finally fell off and victory was mine!! I would recommend using a breaker bar or something with lots of leverage to make things super quick. Overall it did what I needed, removed the nut! I've used this set twice and they still work well. My second time was a stubborn lower strut bolt. Those strut bolts are heavy duty, thick, and the tool once again came through and cracked through the nut! That's two uses where this toolset came into play and saved the day! Would highly recommend to have on the side just incase you run into situations!
