Can this pancake maker work in the uk

Jack, Canada and USA has the same voltage so with regards to UK i think there is a voltage difference .This product does work but we have to buy external voltage protector to get it worked.

What do the waffles look like? I wish that they'd show a photo of the thing opened up.

Yes. There are 6 beeps when waffle maker is heated/ready to cook and then 3 beeps when waffles are done.
