Effective, Easy to Use Sharpener for Japanese Knives
I have Global Knives that I struggled to keep sharp until I this Global sharpener went on sale. My knives are razor sharp, the sharpener is simplicity in action, the unit is steady and easily stored. If you own Japanese knives get this sharpener.

Perfect to Sharpen my Global Knives Set
I have been using global knives for several years now and just love how well made and designed they are. Over time I noticed that the cutting edge has been getting dull. I attempted to use the tradition whetstone method, but that required extra time.This little sharpening tool by global has been perfect in sharpening my knife edges back to pristine condition. It is simple to use - two passes through the course white and two passes through the polishing red disc wheel. Add more as needed. My knives are back to almost original condition and have been a pleasure to use once again!

I own 6 global knives. All global knives are designed at a specific angle which this sharpener accommodates perfectly. It is simple, easy to use and effective. Good stuff.

Actually impressive
I was going to get a nice block sharpener but I have (and love!) Global knives, so I figured for the price I'd give it a shot.I'd say not exactly to the sharpness they were new, but they're pretty close; back to easily slicing squishy over ripe tomatoes with ease (non-serrated). Actually nicked myself tonight with my paring knife cutting some broccoli crowns; barely touched my hand, didn't think anything of it as it was just a tap then blood immediately started pooling over it.Whoops, but...speaks to the sharpness this sharpener achieves; the reason I thought nothing of it is I've nicked myself a number of times and not thought much of it except twice, when I first got the knives, then again when I sharpened them with this.Great sharpener, highly recommend and great knives.

Oh My Gosh! The best sharpener EVER!
Thank you for making such an awesome product. We used stones before, and it took hours to do all of our knives. My wife did six knives in less than 15 minutes, and they are VERY sharp, and much better than the stones! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
