Is it OK to use all day?

No. I did call the company which I do suggest for any questions. They were real nice and there was no wait time. The woman I spoke to said you know when you have had to much because you feel like you have had too much coffee. My light is about a foot away and I do two hours max at full power. I do believe it would be different for each individual.
