Chemistry for Environmental Engineering and Science 5th Edition

Boy, I didn't know what I was in for when I bought this! I thought I would pick up something light to read on the beach for my vacation, but I finished it long before I left. I would try to sleep at night and I could hear the text calling to me from my bedside table, whispering for me to pick it back up and caress those beautifully pressed cardboard bindings. Night after night I would delve into the breathtaking world of equilibria and redox reactions. Tears were streaming down my face as I turned the final pages of the last appendix containing thermodynamic constants at ideal conditions. I can't wait to see what else comes from this inspiring series.

Good Book. Lots of useful information. Outline is a little unorganized, but still very helpful.

This book goes into a lot of details in lab working for environmental chemistry. I am taking a class for lab working and this is the text book that I am using, it helped me a lot in understanding the concepts and operation.The delivery is also very good, delivered by amazon prime, no doubt it is perfect.

Required textbook - don't know why you'd have to order this unless you have too. Not a horrible textbook but not the best. No problems with the book itself though.

What a terrible book. I am currently taking an environmental chemistry course, and I'm learning more from my freshman Chem 101 notes and wikipedia than I am from this book. The chapters are too brief to even teach a topic, the examples aren't explained well, you have no idea what is truly going on because facts are simply thrown at you, and overall, this book makes you hate environmental chemistry.Additionally, the book is exorbitantly priced, as there are NO illustrations whatsoever and the inside looks like some cheap international edition - no color, maybe a scatter plot here and there. It is impossible to visualize any concepts that the book discusses. The authors are probably snoozing in their mansions right now as miserable students attempt to learn from this worthless piece of trash. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.

The book came today :) (within a stated period of time).The book is as it was described. There are no pages missing. On few pages has coments written by pencil, but are easy to erase.

Slightly disappointed with the time it took the book to arrive, but would recommend the seller. Great book, great price.
