For us, this is a lifetime supply of hot glue sticks, but it was totally worth it. They are good quality, not just for the price. They heated consistently, stuck stuff, and stayed stuck.It’s glue. It ain’t pie filling. Although my mom’s pie filling could be a glue, but that’s for another time….

I hope they're not selling lower grade sticks because these are definitely more stringy than other shurbond sticks that I got from a smaller bag -other than that they work well good adhesion

Glue sticks melt fine and hold very well. Better adhesion than some I've used. The string-y-ness just requires some technique adjustment to overcome, but you might have it everwhere until you figure it out.
