Do microballoons dry clear?

In my experience, clarity depends on the amount of microballoon powder added. I am using with finishing epoxy, which normally dries clear. To get the consistency I need, there is a slight whitish haze to the dried result.

This is not fumed silica, but this also is not a hydrophobic filler.
