Good book; no kindle version.
Love the book; just wish a Kindle version was available instead of his higher priced PDF on his website. Amazon could be the culprit due to their Kindle licensing.

Covers everything you need to get going, with some excellent niche chapters too.
I was looking for something that covered 2D games for iOS, and found this to cover most of what I was looking for. In particular the sections on tilemaps, and building for other iOS platforms (like tvOS and Mac) were great for my needs. The book covers everything you need to get going, and I would heartily recommend it.

Easy To Follow Without It Dumbing Things Down --- A True Gem!
I received a free copy of this book.Following with all books by the Ray Wenderlich team, this book is easy to follow yet rich with knowledge. The writing style makes it easy to engage with the work but there are plenty of pictures which show exactly what to do at each important step. If this is your first coding book you might be a bit overwhelmed at first but you will be able to make it through. For more seasoned coders looking to learn more about iOS, this book will serve as a useful tool.If learning by doing is your preferred medium then this book will scratch that itch!

You could expect only high-quality product raywenderlich.com. This book is no exception. The book explains everything you need to know with great clarity.I take iOS specialization from Coursera, but I need complement materials. So I bought the PDF version from raywenderlich.com. The download includes all the assets and complete codes including the solution to the challenges.

Learn by doing
This book is packed with goodness. These aren't dry, meaningless lessons in computations. You learn how to build cool games step by step and don't have to know how to code to work through it. It's thorough without being dry or abstract. Just started this book and am already a happy camper.

Awesome book!
This is an awesome book, it leads you from humble beginnings on to more advanced topics and covers pretty much all you need to make some great games! At the end of the book I had some games ready to go which I made my own by replacing the art and improving the scripts. All in all, I can really recommend this great book!

Though his book does teach you basic concepts about Ios game programming, it lacks proper coding style and design, all of the projects are terribly designed, having spaghetti code(most of the code is in one class). There are very little implementation of design patterns and most of the code is just clunky and just works. It would be hard to implement large scale design changes. Would not recommend this book for intermediate level or higher programmers. This book might be good as a beginning book for Swift Programming, but would need another supplemental book for proper practices and for large scale projects.Pros-Easy to learnCons-Copy paste learning mostlySpaghetti codeLack of Design PatternsLack of advanced topics, code etiquette
