I’m preparing for a major surgery and will need a lot of good liquids during recovery. I decided to try this before the surgery.So the unflavored: I expected something a bit nasty akin to a bouillon cube but this unflavored is really unflavored! And affordable at about $1 per serving. No dairy, no GMO, no fat, no sugar but 20 grams of protein! Amino acids and some good electrolytes. This is so easy to add to my nutrition plan.I also tried the Tumeric because i think Tumeric, Vit D, ACV, and Ginger are all good foods and supplements to add to your diet for chronic pain. I add this to a cup of ginger tea to help get the good things plus my protein.This brand is definitely worth trying, especially with the satisfaction guarantee!

So far this product has blow me away in every category, I have to add this additional review, because not only has the product exceeded my expectations, but it has gone farther than I ever dreamed it would. By that I mean the arthritis in my hands at age 70 has been a real problem until I started taking Xammex beef protein, now my fingers hardly hurt at all after using the product for only 3 months.

The unflavored kind definitely has a bit of a taste to it, but it’s pretty mild and easy to get over or cover up with stronger flavors.

Update: customer service was excellent and they refunded my money because they guarantee customer satisfaction. I would recommend this if you don’t mind the beef flavor.It is not unflavored and I don't like the taste. You are not able to return for a refund.

Finally have a protein powder for my smoothie with no bad ingredients. Sure it tastes different and the smoothie isn’t as thick, but it’s not bad and healthier than others I have used.

I can’t drink This, it makes me gag, seriously. It has what I need but maybe get a flavored one, the original doesn’t taste good at all even when added to another drink.

EDIT — This stuff is pretty good. Taste is 6/10 but not terrible. A scoop first thing in the morning mixed with strong coffee really gets my day going. If I get hungry in between meals, a scoop of this with a couple ounces of hot water does the trick until my next meal. I will definitely be ordering again! — (original review) I was excited to receive this product on same day delivery and was planning on using it right away but when I opened the package, I found that the seal was broken and the product had begin leaking out the sides. I didn’t want to give it a bad rating due to me not being able to try the product and that wouldn’t be exactly fair to the product due to the seal issue but it was very disappointing.

Need to make a version with added sea salt
