MEDMAX Silicone Case for Tandem T:Slim X2 / T:Slim Insulin Pumps

I wanted a more colorful and protective case for my Tandem T:Slim X2 than the standard Tandem "t:case" and decided on this one last year. I have been very happy with it. It provides more coverage to the front of the pump and has a deeper bezel around the screen than the t:case. It fits very well, but is easy to install and remove, though there isn't much of a need to remove it after it is installed. Like the t:case it is designed so you can charge the pump, view the screen, press the wake button, and change cartridges and tubing without removing the pump from the case. I don't recall having any occasion to remove it in the past year and a half. One thing to know is that this case does NOT have a belt clip like the t:case, so if that is a required feature you will need to look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a case with a little more protection and a little more personality, this case is for you.

Exactly what I was looking for. The original case was too bulky and hard. This one is thinner but protective and super soft. Love that I can change my cartridge without taking it off. Very convenient

Overall a solid, protective case for anyone with a Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump. It's excellent if you want something that will almost "grab" to your pockets, and not fall right out like virtually every other hard plastic case out there. That includes Tandem's OEM case that comes with your pump initially. My only complaints are that 1) it can be a bit too hard to pull out of your pocket (that's where I keep mine) as it grabs to some types of materials more aggressively than others. In addition, the cutout for the charging port is slightly smaller than it needs to be. Therefore, you have to either take it partially out of the case to charge it (which I find easiest), or fiddle with the silicone for a bit to be able to open the charging port. Otherwise, it has held up well for the two months I've had it, and I wash it every time I change my site with soap and water.

This case is awesome. My T:slim X2 pump now doesn't slip away or under me when sleeping, and stays right where I put it. Doesn't slip out of my pocket when in the recliner or couch. My pump doesn't slide around the desk when charging at work if my tubing is moved or the pump is bumped. It will give a slight tug if you forget to grab it when getting up of moving, but in my experience it will move before ripping out my cannula. It is a little less easy to pull it out of my pocket, but only because it likes to stay where I put it, which is perfect. It does not add much to overall size and makes manipulating the pump in my hand much easier. I used to drop my pump a lot, no more. Wish I had it years ago. With this case, you don't have to manipulate anything on the case to do cartridge changes, as there is a small slot to pop the cartridge out with a quarter or whatever you use, and there is a perfect fit slot in the case for the cartridge to slide in and out of the pump that doesn't obstruct when performing changes. The case also allows easy access to your charging flap on the pump and seems to hold the protective flap in place better, and does not obstruct the charging cable. There is a slot in the top for the top button which ensures an easy press with your finger and precludes accidental top button pushing. The rubber material does not feel cheap or flimsy and it stays in place and does not slide around on the pump with a very nice fit. I use a tempered glass protector and it fits just fine with it. Installation is simple and takes about 20 seconds. I do not use a belt clip so I don't have any knowledge if this would work with one. Ruggedness and material used in this case makes me think that it will survive many falls, but you will likely have less of them as you will be able to grip your pump better with this case, and will not slip around so easy on a table or whtever its sitting on as t:slim pump without it. If you are thinking of getting one, you cant go wrong with this. I just wIsh I had it on my last Pump which was in rough pretty shape when I sent it in for warrantee replacement. Good soft case but be advised it has no clip. I wear my pump in my bra sometimes and don't want a clip and this works fine.

Love the case! It's thick silicone and covers the screen really well. Doesn't feel slick and has good grips on the sides. Was very easy to put on. Love that there are lots of colors to choose from. I usually use the hard cases but I'm excited to use these as there lighter. Some people complain of a missing clip but there are Hip Clips you can buy for like 8 and can attach to it. Also some don't like that fact there isn't a button to press at the top like the other cases etc but its a non issue for me.

We ordered this product in place of a Tandem recommended pump case that was not available in a quick time frame. We prefer the MedMax case and will continue to order this style. This is an excellent full-coverage pump case; the silicone has a slick texture that resists lint and prevents tugging when you remove it from your pockets. The extra silicone around the front keeps the edges and right side from rolling, flipping, and ripping when removed from a tight denim pocket or flannel pjs. The thicker corners also help with accidental drops. It's not as sleek as the other style, but the added benefit of the bumper guard edges far outweigh the need for a slimer design. For reference, this is used for an older male teen, who can be rough on things. He has worn the other Tandem recommended silicone case for 4 years, that case was replaced often usually because it ripped at the corners and it was difficult to deal with during cartridge changes. This case has a firmer structure so you can better change the insulin cartridge without removing the case; we have experience changing it out so it may be difficult for someone new to the X2 to change it without removing the case. This product has several manufacturing flaws and processesing issues that make me unable to recommend this product. First, you can see in my photos that there is a lovely chunk on silicone missing on the right side of the charging port window. You can tell that the product has been cut with a knife for the user to be able to open the charging port because the manufacturer designed the mold for this case wrong and instead of fixing went with this cheap fix to make it work. The case is now tearing in the corners where they cut at the silicone. I've only been using this case for 5 minutes this is fresh out of the package... You will also notice lots of silicone flashing around the charging port and on the speaker cutout hole. The mold they are using to make these is in dire need of repairs to fix these issues. The fit is okay and it will do for now but I'll need to replace this soon... Conclusion is this is clearly cheap Chinese garbage please look elsewhere for a case to protect your pump. Absolutely fantastic product! How have I managed my insulin pump for the last four years without it? You can load and charge without removing the cover, and the pump feels very secure and protected inside it.

Have saved Tandem Tslim many many many times!!

This is better than the holder than the one that came with my pump at half the cost over a replacement! Only drawback for some folks would be there is no built clip, but I never used that way anyway. I've equipped all the po ket over my bottoms with eyelets that I bought in the camping section of a utility store. What's great about it? Fisrt of, cost! Secondly, the silicone is thick, while still proving excellent access to the port, screen, and top button. There's even a small cut out for the six holes at the back of your pump, which is important. I know my pump will be safe due go the quality of the product, along with a perfect fit. The third plus is there is NO break-in period like there is with the hard plastic ones from Tandem. Easy in, easy out! Great for folks with neuropathy or arthritis. Thank-you!
