Velbon QB-157N Quick-Release Plate (Video Pin)

All-metal quick-release plate WITH PIN (which oddly is not shown the picture from this supplier) to fit the Velbon PH-157Q pan & tilt head commonly fitted to their Delta/Sherpa series and Hide clamps.If looking to retro-fit to a tripod/hide clamp of unknown age or type, the dovetail part is approx. 40mm square across the widest part of the base and 10mm high.Good quality, well-finished cast alloy, with steel pin, cork face, and standard 1/4" screw with folding thumb-plate which is large enough to ensure adequate tightness.Prevents scopes and telephoto lenses fitted with a pin hole from rotating and therefore loosening the mounting screw.Gives much more security and a lot of peace of mind for the price.

I wish the compatible models were easier to find. I bought the wrong one and had to return, but after a bit of sleuthing this one turned out to be the right one for my Velbon tripod. Happy.

Does exactly what it should. Fits perfectly and grips the camera well. No slip and the quick release holds it firmlt even with 600mm lens.
